19 MPH: Good, Bad or Ugly?

Who needs a 19mph Wraith?? Mine might do 10-11 at best and it's plenty fast. The reason you think it's not a beast is all about the drive ratio. If you geared it to the same FDR as an SC truck on 3S, you'd probably get 35-40mph out of it, which is totally unnecessary for a Wraith in any circumstance. Where the Pro4/ROC line excel is the torque and low speed crawling, like others have said.

Bind that thing up in the rocks and punch it, I guarantee you'll break something if you don't have a slipper. And yes I know this thread is over a year old.

Wasn't it last year that you had the fastest Wraith in the campground?? 11mph won't win a Terra-X!!!
 
timing has little effect on the pro 4. 19 is about the same as my results posted in the past. 2 pole 550's will lose some torque, but gain top speed with advancing the timing.

You really dont get it do you? people were talking like just the motor should make all the difference with top speed. My post was just a simplified example of what else affects top speed. As far as i can tell he didnt change ring/pinion or wheel/tires sizes since he made the motor change.

But thanks for answering like a douche "thumbsup"

My wraith on 6s with paddles is unessary.

Started thinking the pro 4 at 19mp us fast enough
