1963 Pro Mod Vette

I do have "colors" chosen......ahhhhh....but can't tell yet.

Happy Fourth everyone! Well, I have decided that I suck at tin work so go ahead and let me hear it! Anyway got to the firewall, tubs and some rear tin work. Also got the exhaust routed out the fenders. Have decided to reuse the kit dash so I added steering column supports and ground on it a bit to get it to fit between the roll cage.

That exhaust flange is pretty cool looking. What is it from. I think your tin work is perfect. Color it is Corvette Candy Apple Red.

Exhaust is all styrene, just copied from a few Pro Mod photos. And Thanks....was considering candy apple red....but I have something else in mind.

Hey, a little practice and you'll be a master metal worker soon, look's good. :D The double bubble dash is a must, for sure. I'm with 'Flea, looks like a 1:1.
(and I'm gonna guess .... Orange .... :) )

Hummmm......orange, get out of my head! Sparky by trade.....tin knocker not so much!

My mind is so blown by the absolute beauty of this build and your amazing attention to the small details that make this car look like a 1:1. I have never seen anything this neat! Keep the hard work going!

Really appreciate the kind words Brian! Thanks!

Well, Vette went to the paint shop today. Started with prepping the body, then a coat of Mica Silver, then wet sand, a couple coats of candy Tamiya orange, then some gun metal gray for the upper part of the body. Now it needs to cure before more wet sanding a a couple coats of clear. None a crap load of detail work lies ahead.

Excellent color choice, and I've said it before on your other builds, the attention to detail is phenomenal!! "thumbsup""thumbsup"

Looking great. I wish one of the RC companies would make a ARTR kit similar to your build for us untalented RC'ers.

Trying to tackle a few of the sub systems, dash, air shifter, EFI - spark control box etc. The spark control is a FAST unit, will mount to the right side of the dash. The dash was casualty of a previous attempted assembly that I got with the body. I really liked the original shape so I am incorporating it into the Vette. Using #ExclusiveRC Race Pack and a home made switch panel with LED lights. Steering wheel is rough but an attempt to make my own, we'll see how it sands out.
