yeah, sorry, good luck on finding a 2.2 with a 17mm hex, never seen one. what kind of truck is it, are you sure its a 17mm? maybe you could take a 12mm and bore it for the shaft size.

When I built my 2.2 Twin Force, thats exactally what I did. The Twin has 8 mm stub shafts. I took a 12 mm hex and drilled the hole out with an 8mm drill.

I looked a little for a 2.2 wheel with a 14mm or bigger hex with no luck. There might be some out there though. I gave up on searching and made the 12mm hexes work.

I can make 2.2 beadlocks with 17mm hexes in them. Just throughing that out...

Thank you, but I don't want to be seen as pimping my crap in others threads. I just thought you TF/MF guys would like to know that there are 2.2 beadlocks out there.

i'm useing the sharfts out of a 1/8 buggy which are 8mm sharfts,RD400 how would you be able to make 2.2 with a 17mm hex? do you have a cnc mill or something? raptorman do you have any pics of what you did to your twinforce to make the 2.2's work if so could u show me?

thanks
brad

I don't have any pics of the hexes. It's pretty darn simple though. I bought some aluminum 12mm hexes and drilled the center hole out with an 8mm drill. Then,I drilled a hole all the way through on one of the flat sides for the cross pin. I used some old Emaxx cross pins because thay are 12mm long;-)

I'll just tell ya,if you do this, after drilling them out the hexes get pretty thin. Mine worked but with allot of power put to them, which I will (2 horsepower brushless:twisted: ) they may crack or warp up on ya. In the end,you may be better of going with the custom build beadlocks. The beadlocks will look better, perform better and be allot stronger. I know if I ever strip a hex with these,I'll go with a custom beadlock.
