Alright guys at long last I have the info you have been waiting for on the winter series.
Due to the huge growth of the crawling community we are going to be doing a few things different this series.
1. We will be charging for the events, and for the series. Have no fear though 100% of the money will be returned to the competitors.
2. The 2.2 class will be limited to 50 people. People that have paid the Series fee get on the list first, then any remaining spots can be filled at the event site the morning of the event, no pm's, emails, ect to hold spots.
3. To help attract judges if you judge a course all day you will start the day out competing with a -10. This only counts for the people that judge a whole course, not a finals course. Each person can only get the -10 judging bonus once for the whole season.
4. Everyone will be allowed to drop 1 event from the series.
5. Only people that have paid the series entry fees will receive series points and be eligible for an invite to the Nationals. However when tallying the series scores you'll receive the points for the actual position you finish. First place will receive 250 points, second 245, third 240 and so on all the way to 50th place which will receive 5 points. The best score on each course will also get 1 bonus series point.
6. We will also be keeping track of series scores from both classes and adding them up to determine who is the overall best crawler in the state.
7. You cannot run the same truck in both classes, nor can 2 different people run a single truck.
Costs
Series fee is $20 total, if you run one class or both.
-This money will pay for the series trophies, and any remaining cash will go to the top 3 series finishers.
-If you don't pay for your series entry by the start of the second event, you will not be able to enter the series.
-Event fees are $5.00 per class, per event.
Payout will be:
1st place=50%
2nd place=30%
3rd place=20%
-So if we had a full field of 50 2.2's there would be $250 in the pot. First place would take home $125, second place would take home $75, third place would take home $50.
-The pot for supers and 2.2's will remain separate and only be paid to their respective classes.
-On the day of the event if you do not have the cash in hand to pay your entry you will not compete, no exceptions.
-Events will be paid out at the event site, as soon as the scores are tallied.
Event times
-All events will begin with registration and course building at 8:00am numbers will be drawn at 8:30am and courses will start running at 9:00am.
-Sign up and numbers drawing for both classes will be done at the same time.
-If you show up after the numbers have been drawn, but before the courses have started and there is still room for you to enter, you can do so and you will be up first.
-If you show up after the courses have started running you will not be allowed to compete.
-In order to get all the people through the courses we will not be breaking for lunch, plan on packing a lunch and eating between courses.
-If an event is canceled due to weather a makeup date will be posted in the thread at the time of the cancellation. That date will be a new one, not currently on the schedule.
