There are many places in Moab to stay, hotels, motels, campgrounds, ect. However if you want to be where the action is there is only 1 place to stay and that is at the Rim Village condos.

These condos can sleep 6-8 guys and normally go for $250 per night. If you call 1-866-yes-moab and tell them you are with "Jason Hensel" they will give you the nationals rate of $225 per night as long as you stay at least 3 nights. If you get 6 guys to go in on it thats only about $38 per person per night.

RCC HQ will be running our live webcams each night at our condo, and thats usually where everyone hangs out. We'll be staying in the same condo we get every year, P2. The closer you can get to the the easier the intoxicated walks home will be.

Is there an agenda of what is going on each day? What exactly will be happening on Friday, the 5th, just setups or comps?
Should we fly into Moab on the 4th and stay that night or could we fly in on the 5th and still make all the competitions. Trying to figure out what nights to book the condo for. I've got condo Q1 from the 5th to the 8th but now am not sure if I should change it to the 4th-8th. Thanks.

Closest I could get was T-3 and there is only one left at least its within stumbling distance:lol: and my wife will like the private hot tub oooooh yeah"thumbsup"...

Yes, I plan to fly into Moab (CNY) and rent a car. I haven't booked anything yet, still pricing via Expedia, Orbitz, etc. According to them, fly into Denver via one of the major airlines and then to Moab via Great Lakes Aviation. I'm coming from Virginia and don't want to drive nearly 2100 miles. I'll end up having to ship my crawlers via a UPS store too I'm sure.

What day are you guys checking into the Condos, the 3rd, 4th or 5th? I know Jason will be there the 3rd but I don't have that kind of cash.
 
Just an fyi, the place you all are using so far ISN'T the only company renting condos in Rim Village. I know that Q3 is open still and is a close crawl to RCC headquarters. The number to call is 435-259-6050 ask for Heidi. Oh yeah this rental condo's price is $210 a nite...haha, you guys paid more even with your "discount". :flipoff:

We are planning on doing tech on friday, if that happens it will be in the afternoon.
 
So I assume that is the only time we can do tech, and not Saturday morning? The reason I ask is my flight will not make it into Moab until around 3:30-4:00 PM. Therefore I wouldn't have time to make it to tech if the tech cutoff was say...5:00 PM. With that said, it sounds like I should fly in on the 4th and stay Thursday night as well to ensure I make it to tech. Sound about right? Thanks.

not any more Q3 is all me .... and i got the jeep for the trail ride ... so stoked cant wait ....

I posted up my contact info in the other thread. I got mine for 190 a night without even asking for a discount.
 
Is anyone familiar of a good hotel near the condos you guys are talking about? I would love to get closer to the action but my wife is coming with me and can't afford to do it with just us. Any info would be great.

yeah the g/f and i are trying to book a trip i need a near by hotel aswell

EDIT: i found hotels in monticello ut.. that is about 50 minutes from the cabins. these hotels are availible through priceline and some of the other travel sites

Anybody have any open spots they wouldnt mind a solo crawler from Jersey occupying? I think, Im flying into Salt Lake City and renting a car...only thing i dont have is a place to stay.
