2009 Axial Bully

Was going to go losi... Rich's service is amazing but at the end of the day I didn't want to buy a new kit, then have to buy all new electronics and brushless at that. In the end the Bully won. Being able to use my current esc and a left over motor, the price of the axles, and only having to buy one more cheap motor and a punk dig just made sense.

In the end wicked CG, instant dig with no slop. Had a chance to drive one today at our season opener.

Specs will be:

Bullies
MM and BEC
JR z9100t servo
Narrowed Axial chassis with UHMW skid
Futaba 3PMX (finally a real radio, my tQ3 cost me two places at our first comp this season today)
Probably going to go back to big bores since they seam to be the only shocks I've run that don't leak. Losi's temp.
Punk Dig
2 55 integy motors for now
Flightpower 3s lipo's
Axial Beadlocks
HB Rover whites
Nova's Ark dual stage foam

Got them Friday, only thing I don't like is that the steering sucks.

steerings not that bad, It's a bit inferior steering or broken parts on a bully or losi all the time "thumbsup". I like the use of the axial chassis,its not as bad as everyone claims. The only problem is that your uppers wont be able to be the same length as your lowers, which will screw with your geometry a bit, good luck!

your links can be 2 inches longer it wont change it, look at supers there the same way.

IMO link geometry plays a far smaller role in an moa. Only thing I might care about is axle walk. Antisquat.... There's hardly any weight in the chassis to care about. We will see though

Did I mention these things are stout? And I still can't believe I sold out to the moa world.

And for steering, axial axles with the stock stub shafts clearanced have great steering and are super reliable. I still love my shafty and am a die hard fan. But the moas just make life so much easier when you don't have time to tinker.

Oh and I'm going to run an artr body

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and assume he was referring to drilling new holes? Believe it or not, that is possible

It's more narrow than my comp chassis kris. But u don't want to go too narrow because I'm hoping to only have to make two bends in my links instead of three to clear the motor and the gear case. Besides this setup will be temp until you cut up some chassis

I don't want to be a dick but maybe you are seeing things from a different perspective. Pretty much anywhere you see black on the chassis and not air is where you could drill a hole.

Got the radio in the mail today! Finally after spending how much on everything else lol.

Lubed em up with moly grease and loctited them.

Got my link materials too and made up a jig...something I've always meant to do. Have it at 12.5 and another hole covered up by the hexes at 12.25. Got my radio too. Slowly but surely. The pics suck cause they are from my iphone.

You may not need to bend your links to miss the gearbox and the motor. I just used a 5mm spacer on the axle side and it all worked out good. Good luck with your build I am sure you will really like the axles.

Doesntr have one yet. I need some bullys in my hands first. Its only a matter of time. Right now I'm working on a device to accuratly heat delrin for repeatable consisten and smooth bends.
