If you get a lot of people signed up for sportsman, and you run them on the same courses, it's going to really slow down things. Time will have changed by then so it will get dark earlier.

Last year we did finals in the dark and sportsman had separate courses.. Just something to think about.

Yeah the reason I was saying the sportsman class would run the same courses is that it'd require quite a few more judges. I'm starting to think sportsman might get left off all together and that might allow us to run a few more gates per course or maybe a slightly different course format. We'll see...it's still fairly early in the game!

Gotcha added to the list Harvo!

Anyone have the ability to bring some thanksgiving goodness!? My stepdad can get a turkey and all kinds of things to bring as long as i could figure out how to get it cooked up. Anyone want to help out with that? This is 3 years in a row, we need a feast... Lol

If I can get someone else from around here to go with me, I would love to make this event. "thumbsup"

does anyone know which charity its for?

I talked to Ryan about this, and ideally it would be nice if it went to a local charity(Cherokee County, AL)....sort of a thanks to the locals for supporting RC Crawling.

I have some media contacts in the area.

Yep...just havent nailed down which one. Like Fish saud it just makes more sense to give back to a community that is happy to have us around!

If I can get the time off from work I will bring the smoker again. I've never smoked a turkey, but I hear it is pretty tasty.

Sounds awesome. Shoot me a pm if you think you can do it and I will see what we can put together. That sounds awesome. "thumbsup"

I called the Days Inn today to check on rates and let them know we'd be coming. At this time they are charging $61.99 for a room with two double beds. She did say that she expected that price to go down soon. If you book the room online just keep in mind that it is non refundable.

I was told there is a charity there in Cherokee county called Child Advocacy Council, Inc. I believe this one might be a great candidate for this event. Does anyone have any other input?

EDIT: The first link I posted here was wrong. My apologies. Here is the correct one: http://www.alabamacacs.org/

They have an office in Centre, AL.
