2013 Goat Hill Scale Team Challenge

Well gentlemen, I just arrived home to Augusta(just east of Wichita). Yesterday I drove down to Dallas to pick up a builder truck I picked up on an on-line auction. Loaded the truck on the trailer being pulled by my 3/4 ton Dodge. I hit Oklahoma City right as this line of storms hit. Long story short, the Tacoma I just picked up is no longer builder material. The trailer is wasted and my truck's roof is level with the hood and the top of the bed rails. Apparently the trailer with tacoma on board was ripped from the truck and then the truck was picked up and flipped 3 times and landed upside down. It took a few hours to get me out of the truck but I'm lucky to have just some scrapes and bruises. I have looked forward to this event soooo much but obviously won't be making it this morning. My apologies to Scott (Rock Chucker). You guys have fun and watch out for those "straight line winds". I'll post up some pics of my dodge in a bit.

A sincere thanks to KCRC for putting on one helluva event! I had an absolute blast!

I would especially like to thank Jerry for being a great host, and letting us crash at his place. You'll find a small token of our appreciation on your kitchen counter. I would have put it in the fridge, if it wasn't for the biohazard warning!:ror:

Pedl, glad to hear you're still with us, that truck looks gnarly!

Again, my hat is off to KCRC for pulling off yet another great event. You guys have a great club, and set the standard for other clubs to shoot for.

Was a pleasure meeting all the new faces, glad you all were able to make it out.
Jerry...outstanding work on the new layout, the switchbacks are a killer addition!
Congrats to all that made the podium...or that made it around that course without blowing something up.

Had a Great time!

Thanks again Jerry for all that you do behind the scenes,
to make events look and run like they do!

Course conditions were challenging, and made for an interesting run.
The Dinky Team brought home 2nd place with the Twin Hammers, not too bad!
But we're already planning on building a couple of solid axle rigs again for the next one,
getting really tired of having to fix on these Hammers so much...
(Well, my mechanic is getting tired of fixing them... Thanks Ty! ;-))

Congrats to the Class winners!

2.2 Class: Team Bad/Harley "thumbsup"

1.9 Class: Team Rick/Jeff "thumbsup"

Can't wait to see the footage from the event!
And would like to give a shout out to Evol Villan Productions, for filming the event,
and the work load he's about to undertake for our viewing pleasure. More power to ya mang! "thumbsup"

Thanks to everyone for the thoughts of concern. I definitely started getting a little sore as the day went on yesterday. Again thank you. Congrats to the winners! It took a damn tornado to keep from this event, I WILL be at the next one.
