2013 Michigan State Comp and Scale Fun Run
(Crawling for a Cause)​

Greg's son is facing issues after a terrible accident with a daycare facility. I don't think we can post much more. His family is going to be facing years of costs to make sure their son has a wonderful and long life. We want to thank Greg for his support for MiRCa and great personality. ALL proceeds will go to Greg and his family to help them. We also may do a 50-50 raffle to help in raising funds.

When: Saturday, August 17th Start is currently 11am, if we get enough people interested we may move that to 10am.

Rain notice: Keep in mind that if for some reason we get rained out on Saturday, the comp will be moved to Sunday. If this is an issue it will be posted here!

We are working to get some wild and mild 1:1 rigs to run on the course. Ben, North Jeff, and Greg have many friends who are deep into 1:1 and its a blast to see them running on the course! If you have a 1:1 bring it out to enjoy a unique test ground set up by Greg.

Classes to be run: 2.2 Pro (We will run 2.2S if enough show, think around 5). 1 Ticket pays for all classes! We will be running a scale fun run, all fun no competition...unless you scale guys want to have one you are more than welcome. The terrain is amazing for fast and slow scale trucks.

Cost: $25 (includes lunch for those that post here to register before August 9th!) - ALL proceeds are going to Greg to help his family.

Additional Info: We will be following all USRCCA rules. Depending upon how many show up we will run 3-4 courses 8 gates at 4-5 minutes a piece. Top 5 will run a finals course that will be designed at that time by a pre-determined person/team that isn't part of the top 5.

Accommodations: I am also sure that for the guys that are from farther away, or even out of state guys, Greg would be fine with anyone camping on his property as well! There are plenty of close hotels if you prefer.

When I talked to Greg a few weeks ago I was shocked to hear what had happened to his son, I will help out any way I can.

How wheelchair friendly is the place?

The parking area is dirt but pretty smooth and hard packed. Most of the courses are set up through a 20 by 100 pile of concrete.

I'm surely in!! Both 2.2 and scale. And if others sign up for sporty I could be inspired to bring the shafty!

And def bring some extra coin for Greg's little guy. Hope he recovers well! Mine and marci's thoughts and prayers for your family Greg. Takes a strong man to refrain from hurting the staff at the day care!
