2015 Mustang

lol it don;t take that long for my VW to get to top speed. its a quick little car. but yea my top speed is after the computer was worked, I don know if the electronic limit was removed or just pushed back by the work.

I'm a big mussel car guy, but I don't like it, then I've rarely liked mustangs, and I've rarely liked the "new" mussel cars, so its got 2 strikes against it off the bat. gimmie a pre 80's mussel car or none at all.

I can understand that for sure. A TDI Jetta is most likely my next car, my parents have the Passat and I love it.

I'm indifferent at the moment on this. Like others have said, they shouldn't have changed the body style so dramatically. I think it's going to take time, but I'll probably come around to it.

got an 07 GTI, only really 2 cars that has interested me lately. the new new beetles, and after seeing them in person they still look alittle to much like the new beetles. and the honda cr-z, someone has one at work and it catches my eye every day.

It's the 50 year anniversary. If they just made a few small changes/updates, people would have been complaining about it not being different enough from the last model.

For me, each new model, starting with the SN-95, has taken time to grow on me. I hated it, then I liked it, then I loved it. The Terminator came out, same thing all over again and so on.

There are things I don't like about this car right now, but given time, and some hoonage, I'm sure it'll pass.

don't ford have a car that looks just like that out now, not sure what name....but then I could be wrong, but all cars are looking this way now :lmao: ....

As a ford owner only since I got my drivers license at age 16; I have to say I think ford is taking some of heritage/roots away from the mustang to an extent.

The mustang got popular by design and price..An affordable car the average joe could afford and turn it into what they want...One of the most versatile
cars ever made..But today its not such an affordable car for the masses..who would of thought in 93 you could buy a mustang for 16 17k and today
they are upwards of 30 40 50k and more..Not exactly something the average person can spend on a car..In time I see the mustang becoming more like
the corvette..power in the hands of the mediocre rich..This will kill mustang sales as we used to know it ...id still rather have a well built older mustang
any day over the newer models

No, today you can get a brand new, off the lot, mustang for 22k. Also, if you account for inflation, 17k from 1993 is equivalent to 27-28k. I would bet ford is planning on keeping an affordable base car as well for the 2015 redesign.

Also, I think this car is more inline with classic mustangs (pre 70's) than the current gen.

Here's the current gen mustang...there's still the mustang cue's, but its big and clunkly looking (relatively). I like the current gen too, only mustangs i don't like are the 80's and 90's

Nice to see that Ferd has finally pulled their head out of their ass and accepted a IRS design.

I'll agree with the 94-99s. But you like 72-78 better than the 79-93?

I see some on the lines from the new Mazda 6 in the front end. As we debate about how good/bad the re-designs look, I wounder how the old timers felt when the 'new' mustangs showed up in '64? The design was a radical change from what was around at the time.

The way I understand it, every new generation of old timers bitches about how all the new crap from the automakers looks the same, is worse than the old stuff, and yet costs too damned much...........probably had people bitching about that 80 years ago, even though the automobile hadn't been around in quantity for more than 30 years. Wouldn't be surprised if some of the old timers were still pining for the days of horse and buggy back then too:roll:

A horse and buggy system would be sweet...but how are are we supposed to tie up our horses if there's no longer hitching posts in front of buildings?
