Wrong. It has always been and will always be about being able to put the allotted HP to the ground.
Having only one drive wheel doesnt help that argument.

Why all the polaris hate? Was it a polaris that ranovru when you were a kid leaving you traumatized for life?
Personally I think it looks like a transformer and it lacks a tire. I like the concept and could get past the looks but it needs irs and 4 tires to do anything for me.

That last comment was just stating an unrelated to Polaris fact.
And Ive never been RANOVR by one but have been out front of many. Theyre garbage in my and most folks around here opinion, performance wise as well as quality wise.

I would think someone would come out with a 4th wheel kit. Something similar to a solid axle on a sport quad.
Actually let's through the weight back into this argument.
The Dodge Hellcat weight's 4400lbs, and runs 275/40zr20 tires with a contact patch of 9.7" wide. Multiply that by 2 since they have 2 rear tires, and you have a 19.4" wide of tire on the ground, trying to push a 4400 lb car, or each inch of tire pushing 226.8lbs.
The Slingshot weights 1743lbs, and runs a single 255/35r20 tire with a contact patch of 10.1" wide, meaning each inch of tire width is pushing 172.5 lbs.
No I know suspension design and a million other factors apply to actually hooking up that traction, but by being so light 1 rear tire could be plenty sufficient.
Besides what fun is hooking up? Peeling out way more fun?

Like you say, a lot more than tire size goes into putting power to the ground, and having only one tire is a deficiency from the get go. But putting the power to the ground is still the name of the game.
If spinning is all youre after you can do that with a Huffy and a bald tire. No need to spend a bunch of money. But to each their own.

I have no issues with Polaris personally. But mark my words, this thing will either be so dumbed down by electronics that you can't actually have any real fun, or it will simply handle like ass much like the T Rex is known for. It's simple physics, and Polaris isn't immune to it.

Everyone that has driven one, say they are awesome. Take it for what its worth, they were all selected by polaris to drive it...

Well it wouldn't be good marketing if they said it was shite now would it? :mrgreen: In all honesty most people would probably love it, I just doubt that I would. I'd rather spend the money on a nice used sports car.
i dont like the look, would rather have something with 4 wheels, but im SURE thats a fun rig to flog down a mountain road.
i cant remember enough to find a picture, but theres a 3 wheeled car i saw somewhere online that looked like it had a harley davidson motor up front and had a vintage vibe to it.

How can someone think thats cooler looking than the same thing with 4 wheels and a rear axle? It just looks so stupid, just as the newer ones do.
If youre going to do it with one wheel out back there better be only one wheel up front.
I've personally ridden the can-am spyder and while it's not crotch rocket it's crazy fun to blast around town or curvy roads on. And having ridden atvs all my life I would turn down everything but a Yamaha for a Polaris. They made not be the fastest thing but their damned reliable and built like a tank.
