Great job guys.

Only thing that I see missing is the tube frame being allowed in C3 (wraith, bomber, etc)

Thanks again for putting in the time and effort. Means a lot to the rest of us.

Did any thing really change? but Good job, thanks for all you do "thumbsup"

No real changes to the rules. We're trying to be consistent from year to year so they are easier to follow. A few wording changes is all. Overall they seem to be working pretty well as written, so why complicate things? Just be reasonable with the builds and there won't be any major changes in the future! Thanks!

Sorry I had just read through last year's rule discussion and you'd mentioned putting in tube chassis for c3. My bad.

Thanks again for the time you guys put into this.

Still have to run a rail chassis in Class 3 I see! :ror:

We forgot to change that. Tuber is legal in Class 3 just like it always has been. We'll get it changed.

The new dig definition makes a 2wd/4wd tranny illegal.
Or it makes it legal to switch between FWD and 4wd as well as RWD and 4wd.

Now that the motor, electronics and transmission MUST be hidden. What about the stock Wraith cage? Do you have to make some plates to hide the motor and transmission? You can see them peaking out from the sides.

An unfortunate side effect of people trying to find the gray area of rules. Just don't use it during a SORRCA scale comp and you'll be fine.

That's because switching from 4WD to Front wheel drive is dig.

as well as RWD and 4wd.

Bummer huh?

If you can see them, then yes.....you'll need to cover them up. Should be pretty easy to do if you're attending a large SORRCA sanctioned event. It obviously won't be a big deal at local events since you can tweak the rules if you want.

How are axle mounted servos handled if now all electronics must be covered and not visible from the front and side?

so i have had this stashed away for a future C3 build. am i reading this new dig rule right? this would be illegal to use.

The tyres hide it from the sides and the body from the top?

Nice.

Dig is still legal in C3 I believe so no worries.

On a stock scx10 yes, I'm pretty sure on my C3 truck both the front and rear servo would be visible from the top (I haven't finished it yet, but want to clarify before I start building something that won't be legal).

I'm with you on the viewable from the top thing, but it also says front and back and we all know axle mounted servos can definitely be seen from front so I'd just guess that servos are kinda the exception to the rule. The committee can correct me if I'm wrong, and they will of course. Lol

This mostly applies to wiring, ESC's etc. Servos aren't as big of a deal.

It doesn't say anything about being viewed from the front. You guys make it so difficult some times.....
