I have a question relating to race penalty points :

A driver takes "on the fly" his vehicle in overturning, that would end downstream and out of trail.

What are the penalties that have to be assigned?

Rollover: +5 points
Boundary Marker: +10 points
Vehicle Touch (Repair & Repositions): +10 points

I'm not a committee member, but can likely answer your question(s).
First off, there are too many variables.

If a driver flies over a boundary marker without touching it and it lands on it's wheels, the vehicle can be driven back onto the course without penalty (providing the vehicle does not touch the boundary upon entering).

If in the same situation, the vehicle has to rolled over to get it mobile, it will be a +5 penalty.

If also in the same situation, the vehicle cannot be righted without a touch, time is called and the vehicle is placed with it's rear wheels at the last completed gate (or closest stable spot) Penalty +10

If, on the other hand, the vehicle touches the boundary marker on it's way off the course, time is stopped and the judge will place the vehicle with it's rear wheels at the last completed gate (or closest stable spot). Penalty +10

There are some winching scenarios that may also come into play, but a winch wasn't mentioned so I didn't elaborate. I'm sure one of the committee members will come in and elaborate at some point.

The problem I have highlighted is when a driver touches the vehicle and grabs him,
when he realizes that is about to tip over and fall away, possibly causing damage to your own vehicle.

Is in this case for me not clear what it is right penalties to impose .

I have kept this build slightly quiet until I was sure I could make it work. Now to check with the SORRCA committee to make sure it is legal.

It is 3wd and based off of an actual 1:1 truck. If anyone would like to look up pictures it is a Roustabout Trivan.

My main question is. Is it legal. I have the minimum two driveshafts and there is no rule stating it is necessary to have 4 wheels.

Yes I am aware the rubber bands won't actually work. They were for testing.

Why is a tube/truggy legal in class 2 (nowhere does it give a minimum width) but a flatbed has to be the full width of the cab for its entire length? the CChand flatbed has angled rear corners which seems to make it class three?

That bed would be legal for all three classes. What is meant by the angle/taper is referring to if the bed is dove tailed, that angle on the rear of the CCHand bed is fine. Plus it meets C1 tire coverage as pictured.

Are you sure?

the rules say:

• Truggies are not allowed, flatbeds with full length rail chassis are allowed. The bed must be as wide as the cab the entire length of the bed. Cab only not allowed

C1 never. Unless dovetailing is now legal in C1.
