Hi all,

I'm in need of 6x6 info.

Had this idea when dreaming.

If you where to make a dual rear axle rig could the last axle be 3 linked together with the center axle or would this be a horrible idea?

You mean both axles linked together? I'm having trouble visualizing this. Maybe I need to go to sleep so I can dream about it! Just kidding.

I was wondering if you could make a center axle for a 6x6 out of two pinion halves run by one ring gear.

The center dual pinion axle is easy.

i shaved the edge off the halves and then bolted them together."thumbsup"

My kit is only here next week so...

My silly drawing of the idea.

Black line is chassis beams

Red are axle housing

Blue is for the links

Green is driveshafts.

If you ran the pinions off the same ring gear wouldent the one comming out the back be spinning backwards ?

if that was the case you could flip the rear axle upside down

just a couple things to concider.

Its been done with tlt axles a good bit. Search around and see if you can find one of those builds. The principal could be the same. Check out some of SemiJoe's builds that might help too.

For me the drivetrain looks easy, it's links i need ideas for.

The center axle is figured out and yes the rear needs to be upside down to run forward.

"thumbsup"
