700hp Ariel Atom by DDM Works press release

Sounds like a death trap "thumbsup" lol I'd be happy with just the k20, the car already has fantastic power to weight ratio and handles like its on rails

Just stupid. Similar weight to a F1 car with none of the down force to help it handle.

But people like stupid.

I'd rather have the BAC mono than the Ariel.

Yeah it is way overkill....but that's what the customer wanted. They widened the tires a little but you can't go too wide because then it won't heat them up since it is so light. They specialize in solstice/sky, mini, and miata. So if anybody has one of those look them up! They will also do custom stuff on anything. They have worked on old vws to all out show cars.

Ide say that rear spoiler pushes some weight as the speeds increase. I don't see anything on the front so I agree with you there. But I highly doubt this will be pushed nearly as hard on the track as an F1 if it sees the track at all by any of its owners. Just a toy.

Not even close to that of an F3 car.

Sadly it's considered a track car never to see streets. Once again Americans just do weird things. Oh well you got the money spend it.

This is the 2nd LS3 install in a solstice...the 3rd and 4th is already scheduled and the 4th is getting boost:shock:

I love that this car is all stock looking...

Wow a honda driver trashing another car.....that NEVER happens. :flipoff:

It isn't built to look good, it is made to destroy $200k exotics for a 1/4 of the price.

i drive a nissan not a honda. i still think it is garbage, if i had money id just buy a ferrari! lol

It's evident you aren't a car guy. The cost of an atom like this is 120k, expensive but theres not even a used Ferrari that will beat this for that price.

For 120k, even used, you'd be looking at many slower cars that all weigh more and have less of the almighty power/lb ratio.

this is the first install they did. The 2nd one looks like a factory install...other than the corvette coil covers. I will find some pics of it and post them.

There are 2 of the solstice v8 swaps here in Detroit. One looks dead stock so it just ears rear tires.

The other is the gxp one. Huge rear tires and an LS7. It's outrageous and looks stock to a point hood closed except tires, wheels, and it has a bbk. This was done by all gm techs and engineers who wanted this to be a production option.

Dave actually had to call them and find out how they got the engine computer to talk to the body (so the gauges and what not would work)

Finally, the best of both worlds charger to take off, turbo to push that top end. That thing will probably take a little getting used to."thumbsup""thumbsup"

I'd say thats incorrect if you understand the loss of a belt driven supercharger. There is inherit loss all the time, from idle to top end.

Unless it has a clutch engage/disengage such as a AC compressor I'd rather enjoy like without dragging the supercharger along.

Twin turbos with proper sequential system would be outrageous and still never give up the dual charge loss.

I wouldn't say that's incorrect. He said "best of both worlds" not best system ever  plus the supercharger loses a lot of its load when it opens the bypass. Easier to turn when not making boost. "thumbsup"
