Aluminum C Channel Bracing?Soldering?Welding?

Ok, here's the dealy-o

I'm about to build a scale frame using aluminum C channel, what would be the best way to solder/brace/weld the pieces together??

alluminium is very touchy when doing any kind of heat treatment to it i recomend tigging it but ive got the recources at hand but if you sand it roughly then solder it without flux it should hold up to certain pressures try a piece then try to break it see how much it takes

I would recommend first installing braces that hold the chassis together using bolts, then braze/weld it if you want to. This way, the chassis is already clamped together. And, if you leave it the way it is (with bolts and welds/fusion points), they will work together to handle the stress that the chassis will receive. This way, you also dont really have to worry about busted welds/fusion points. Just my .02$, either route you take, good luck, and keep us updated.

After extensively reading many posts on aluminum, i decided to use two different size C channels, one will fit inside the other, i'll just cut the angles needed, stick one inside the other, drill and tap the joints and i should be all set.
