Another Honcho Owner

Snorkel is made out of some rubber tube (that i just cut to size with scizzors) and a spare light bucket that came with the kit glued to the top of the rubber. I then got some mesh and pushed it into the face of the bucket. Pretty simple.

In regards to it being on the wrong side, I'm really not fussed.

The mudslingers are 1.55" I believe.

Thanks for the comments guys!

Hey guys, haven't been on here in a while but recently got some upgrades so I thought I'd better share. got some new shocks and steering links.

are these inner coil shocks chosen simply to enhance performance ?

'cause I keep seeing these type of IC shocks mounted up
to a linked suspension system... and I don't get it

am I missing something here ?

Maybe I've lost touch in the 1:1 world as of late...
but thought all link'd susp. suystems required CO's ?

the shocks look nice tho'
but I'd think they'd look more to scale on a leaf sprung rig ?

not trying to be critical... just curious

To be honest I used them for the look. They were cheap and I was curious. Plus they're slightly longer so that add a tiny bit of ride height

I was a little critical of them(GMADE102) when I first mounted them up. If I pushed on the hood of the truck and then let it go quickly, the shock would rebound and the front of the truck would bounce up and down two or three times. But on the rocks that's not happening. I like the way they work. I'm using the stiff springs.

Hmm that's strange. Maybe use a softer spring? I'm using the medium spring and they sag a bit but yeah, they definitely don't bounce

They just came with two springs, soft and hard. The soft really made the truck sag. I may experiment with cutting the springs in half and using half of each with a very thin spacer between the two halves to support the springs.
