Just so you know I'm just kidding with you. Hope to meet you at a comp soon.

Torry

Id love to come up. IM not competing though. I have less than 2 hours driving a crawler. been building the whole time ive had it. I met tod i think. sold him my old stick. Ill do my best to be there though.

Ok so I still need my clod 12mm hex's but i did get my 12 to 17mm adaptors and wideners today from RC4x4 and the damn barrel nuts are too short to bolt the wheel to it.:x I cant win it seems. I did manage to get it to sit with them just sitting on the axles not bolted on so I could upload some pics. It sits a lot wider now. doesnt look scale anymore but at least i can turn withought hitting links. Hopefully the crew at RC4x4.com will hook me up with the proper hardware next week so I can roll this bad boy.

Nice job so far.

 hahah those are the old chinsey links. havnt mounted yours up yet. waiting till i can finalize the axles so i can check clearances. it is what it is. wont win any comps but its a'ight

Ill bring it out there. You were just busy that day. Saterday I was hunting all morn. Then christmas kept me busy the rest of the time. I might bring it out today. Im having all kinda trouble with the other **** anyway.

the spacer barrel nuts dont reach deep enough to bolt the wheels on. and im still waiting on the 12mm hex's and shock mounts. RC4x4 hasnt wrote me back with a solution to the barrel nut prob. But its the holidays so I expect delay's

ohh your busy. and its not a hurry on anything, you wont be able to moch anything up till I get the tires bolted on.

More money spent. I just ordered my teken rebel 2 esc. So the modded EVX is up for sale! I also got some KC style lights for the cage. Give it a cool look I think.

Ok so the frame and axles went back to Samota's house for the final build stages. He is going to do up my 4 link and make her a roller then I get to put the rest of my parts together and make her a runner.

Hopfully he gets some pics up here in the next few days. KEEP US POSTED BRIAN!

well Brians been busy so i just keep buying chit. Diched my TQ3 and have a DX6 that im hoping will be here tomarrow. Then the futaba gimbal springs should be here a day after. I still have to find a good material to build the "cam" with. I have tried to get one from the dealer with no response. They are a hard company to get ahold of...

Ill probably be posting back on here to get some idea of how to use that damn radio!

Slow going latley.. The project is back to me, and I have to finish it. Still trying to find a welder, or time to learn how to braze. Its so close to finished I can taste it. Ive ran into every prob imaginable it seems.

Ordered up some Gmade top link mounts today. I think they look better than the RC4x4 ones. (no offense mike) But I still have yet to set up the chassi side mounts. I guess I just need to play around with it till I figure somthing out. Braz'n practice time. Woopdy dooo.

Ok now I want some opinions. I have been trying to moch up my link config. So far I think this is about what I want them to sit at.

102_1364.jpg

There you can see I have them all triangulated (SP) but what im worried about is the angles.... I think I want them to run almost flat to the ground right?

102_1363.jpg

anyway thats what I have. This is what ride height would look like with it setup that way. The front I havnt messed with yet so dont look at the Rake.

102_1360.jpg

So let me know what you think, too much triangulation? not enough? to close together?

oh ya and the shocks are not going to be mounted like that, they are just sitt'n there 4 now.

It looks like you have enough triangulation, maybe mount the shocks in their permanent location and see how flat the links are after that.

Well thats the thing I dont have the link mounts or shockmounts welded up yet. So im trying to guess where I want them.

DoubleJ has the whole shabam and is going to finish the linkmounts for me and get her roll'n maybe even some powdercoating is needed. Anywho finally some foward progress!

The tuber is pretty much done when I picked it up.
All I have to do is match where the 1st lower mounts were located, add a couple back braces, find a good location for the upper link mounts and then the shock mounts.

I'm hoping to have it done in a couple of days as I work on other rigs and toss this in the last 10 -20 minutes of my building block time frames.
