any ideas how much this is worth?

yeah, near as i can tell by some research, it is a 47 wa-22. the flatbed/grain box is shot to hell though. does have all the hubcaps and the chrome is in awesome shape, can't see any pitting on it.

White Truck Pictures

there's a picture on there that is labeled as a wa2264, it is the most similar one of the bunch. out of respect to the site owner, i will not post the photo itself (disclaimer at the top of the page, better safe than sorry)

went out to see how much of an ordeal getting this truck out would be. from the looks of things there's only 2 trees that will have to be cut down, a small poplar and of course a plum tree is growing right through the bed frame :lmao: gonna be a bloody (literally) mess getting that plum free. the wind is just too high to do it today. its going to be a bit tricky getting the plum out without ramming it through the back glass. other than that, its a clear shot out, hoping my dodge will be able to yank it free, if not, there was talk of a tele-handler being dropped off for a couple days of scrapping.

keep finding neat stuff. there's an old hagie sprayer out there, has a stainless tank on it, should be able to get something for that. also, an old deere hay elevator that appears to be in working order....amazing what happens when you go looking through your grove.

got it cut free today, the dodge didn't stand a chance at pulling it out. cutting the trees wasn't the terrible deal, the raspberry bushes sucked though. a neighbor is going to bring a tractor over probably wednesday and then some new pictures will be up.

got it dragged out today, just going to clear off the bed area tomorrow and then more pictures. checked out all the lights and everything has lenses still, and original white part numbers on the brackets to them. the rear axle rolls just fine, front brakes are locked...not too surprising given that the last time it was moved was 1974. the engine is seized, at least i can't kick it over with the crank start. both doors have working latches and windows, and the gas tank is in good shape. frame has factory paint still in many places. the bed/box frame is in decent shape, couple areas need to be banged out a bit, bit other than that, it just needs a sand blasting and new wood. only things i have not been able to find are the windshield wipers. one rim has a crack in it, but talking with my neighbor that pulled it out, its still a common size and shouldn't be hard to replace. he was amazed at the shape himself, he restores antique tractors (molines) and said that it is a very solid truck for resto....good sign!

yeah, should be up later tomorrow, i have to pull some stumps and what's left of the rotten old wood off the bed...forgot to mention the floorboards in the cab are still solid . hoping someone will be able to have a good time restoring it, it needs a better home than here.

Not sure what the pricing would be compared to anything like an International...but, my dad has a '47 International pickup and it isnt worth the paper its title is printed on. They were basically made for farming, and were used for that too.

Good luck in your sale. I personally would love to take it, chop it, slam it, drop something massive under the hood, and have some fun.

the ih vehicles are a bit of a tricky thing. at points, ih would give you a vehicle if you bought a new tractor, i know they did it with the scouts in the 70's and that makes then a dime a dozen. around here, you can pick up a decent scout for around a grand. this is also a heavier vehicle than a pickup...the spring packs in the rear are around 5 inches thick, its in the weird spot between a pickup and a tandem truck that people are looking for for flatbed or small box use. if used as a flatbed, you could easily put a small car on it.

my plans with it if i were to keep it were to drop a 12v cummins and a 5 speed into it, and either lift it with some airbags i have laying around, or leave stock looking for the exterior. for the lift, would get some g178 tires off the local concrete company, and find a decent looking super single wheel. i'm not bad with sheet metal at all, but its the sand blasting and engine swap where i would lose my ass on it, so after punching out the numbers, it was just not viable for myself.

That truck is in great shape given it's age and "storage" treatment. Someone is going to be very happy with that as a base to start a project truck.

good to hear! i'll get the good camera out this afternoon after my doc's appt. and take some nice detailed pictures. also going to mask up and take a look at the serial tag in the cab and get a fix on the model and year. i'll get all the dry rotted stumps and branches out of the bed and get good pictures of how solid it still is. going to be a lot on the good camera ones, those will be the ones posted for sale ads locally.
