i picked up a couple of babies tarantulas today, tried to put up some pics but photobucket seems to not be workin right now. i picked up an avicularia versicolour(member of pinktoe family) and a brachyopelma boehmei(mexican red leg family), i used to have quite a few t,s but its been years since having any, i think they are pretty interesting pets but not for everyone..lol. i,ll post a link to them since no pb.

any other creepy bug fans:ror:

:flipoff: that.

I got a penny sized spider hanging outside my window with a huge web I watch eat mosquitos and lady bugs every day. But if it gets in here, it's dead.

It's kinda cool though. Grabs em, webs em up, slurps on their heads, then a little more on the body then dumps the remains off the web onto the window sill.

We have a big tarantula at work (working at a pet store), and I always like to hold her. ONLY spider I cannot tolerate for anything are brown recluses, Im searching for something then move something and one comes out of hiding and ill run out of the room so fast! haha! Ill try to get a picture of our spider sometime, shes real cool!

My wife has about 100 of them. I don't complain about them & she dosent look at the R/C shelf. Her largest one is about 9 ish. Inches.

My 15 year old daughter has a mexican red knee and a rose hair. Sometimes she likes to leave one their molts where her mom will find it to scare her a little.

i like spiders. i'm not sure of a tarantula, but i have always liked spiders. even as a little guy i was catching bugs and bees to throw in spider webs. to this day i enjoy finding a decent sized spider and chucking a moth or debilitated fly into the web. although, anything in the house larger than a half dollar in size are considered smashables.

a few pics of what they will end up like , in a day or two i will put them in their new homes and take actual pics
heres a baby versicolour

Tarantulas aren't big spiders? :ror:

Yes, they were tarantulas.
lol yes they are spiders..in their own class but yes , they are different enough from typical spiders that some biologists do not class them as "true spiders"
