Forgive me if this is not in the right area, but I am hoping there are some groups out there running these comps that could help me out!

My group, Akron, Ohio based Summit County Crawlers has been granted permission to lease a large fenced in area to build a RC Crawler park in for a very low yearly lease. Great!!!

Then it gets confusing to me. I've never done anything like this. They are asking that we carry insurance. I don't even know where to begin for this. It was phrased:

"The necessary insurance coverage is one million dollars combined single limit covering bodily injury including, but not limited to, wrongful death and property damage resulting from Summit County Crawlers’ use of the premises. The City of Akron shall be listed as additional insured on the policy."

Has anyone else done this? Where would I go to? Any suggestions for a low premium company that will meet the requirements? Any and all help here is greatly appreciated!

We have everything else lined up except this. Once the lease is ours, we have members with access to heavy equipment and dump vehicles as well, and we work closely with the Ohio Scale Gurus and NOSTR which will be a huge help to getting this off the ground. Just need help with this insurance thing!

Best way is to take the statement of requirements to your local insurance agent (or a couple to get a comparison quote).

As a FYI, 5 million liability for our group is $1300 a year.
