im planin to get a 3 speed tanny. wats a good servo for a 3 speed? what else do i need for havin a 3 speed? do i need a 5 channel radio?

I have an F350 High Lift, for the gear shift I just use a standard servo, it does the job no prob's. As for the radio gear, from what I have learnt over the past year, any 3 channel and above will work. A Traxxas TQ can be modified, the 2 stage togle switch can be changed to a 3 stage, enabling 3 speed shift.

But... to get the best adjustability you need a 4 channel because of trim adjustment for the shift servo.

The tq3 has a little adjustment knob on the back that is used for 3rd channel trim. I modded my tq3 for 4 wheel steering for free (no need for a 3 position switch). Its so simple on the old style tq3's. But yes the 3rd channel on a tq3 can be adjusted. I use it to align my rear wheels. "thumbsup"
