I know the beef tubes come pre-installed but can it be removed and reinstalled if damage to the axle occurs? I like how the plastic slides over rocks much better than aluminum or other metal but the price seems steep if if you crack a link mount or something.

This is a very good question. I'm guessing since Beeftubes does the mod to the axle already when you buy them, taking out and re-installing them shouldn't be an issue as long as they don't use some sort of adhesive when doing the mod.

I wish Beeftubes sold the correct size tubes for the ar44 separately, I'd figure out what the dimensions are and give it a go my self. I honestly think the main thing having to do with the mod is the link mounts.

I can confirm the Tubes do slide out once hardware has been removed. I had to pull out one side of a wide xr mod ar44 housing to fit a brass ring around the tube to get a Wraith Panhard mount on there. Simple enough.

I'm pretty sure (may be wrong) that they machine/drill the centers out to make room for the beef if that's the case then you would have to have the new housing drilled out....
