Are motors water proof or does it not matter?

Thanks

Ok thanks everyone, guess I will just run the bats regular until I cant get the water out from the shrink wrap then I will look into platic dipping them if I see that to be an issue.

Now for the motor, just a regular oil will work. I have some comm oil that I use after cuting a motor (for stock racing) will that work. Or should i use something else?

Thanks for all the great help and advise.

TQ

My 2 cents real quick about breaking in a motor underwater. You run them under water until the brushes are fully seated. And that will take a lot longer than 10 seconds. It depends on how much voltage you give the motor, but it will take longer than 10 seconds even at full blast. Keep it submerged until the water starts to become darker, then check the cut on the brushes often. I also use a drop or two of soap, for more lubery.

When it comes to oiling a motor, the thinner the better. The clearance of the bushing is small, so a thin oil is used to get all the way in. Same with bearings.

Anything can be a word when you use it properly in a sentence. "thumbsup"
