Axial 1/18 Yeti (and Yeti Score)

I wish there was no leak... I'm getting impatient now. Weather is getting colder and grosser and I'm wanting to take my Yeti and Yeti XL out... I need a Jr. for indoors

Where was Axial during the MRC heyday when we were all wanting a 1/18 crawler from them?

Somewhere a Losi exec is just shaking his head.

Has there been any other sources hinting towards the yeti?
From what I've seen just repeating the same information, though I did see crawler innovations has released new 1" micro foams for the Losi/Summo/Ambush,RC4wd Gelande micros. They oddly list the foams compatible with the Axial Mini which is surprising because I assumed it would be an RC scale 1/18 on 1.5's like the losi mini rather than a true scale 1/18 like the RC4WD mini Gelande with the typical 1" micro wheels & tires

I saw that and said insider info or a complete tease. Either way i am ready for a 1/18 Bomber. Hurry up already.

Lil' Nova Single Stage Micro Firm - Crawler Innovations

Those foams show compatibility with the 1/18 yeti
I literally posted that right before here lol. I have doubts though. maybe Crawler innovations guessed? I feel like axial would be making a mini 1/18 on 1.55 or something not a true scale 1/18 using 1.0 wheels. I know I'm in the minority and overall they don't perform as well, but I'd personally rather have a micro that was a true 1/20-1/18 than a mini. A mini is still so large you may as well have a traditional Crawler. A micro is much more friendly in doors.

I would go either way. Micro or mini.

A Micro Yeti would be awesome to have indoors on a course of books and sh!t. But a mini Yeti would be just as cool to have also.

Honestly. If they were to scale down their entire line up they'd sell a pile of them instantly. Presell would be months behind.

I would get a few micros for sure. I find the minis dont get much use. A micro smt10 would be really cool. You could buy a few bags of kinetic sand and make a really nice indoor course!

I just hope they hit soon, too much longer and they may miss the perfect time of the year for launch and get skewed results on sales..

If Axial wants to sell it for the xmas (which should be the perfect time to sell this kind of rc) they should announce no later than next week.

That's what I'm thinking too. My uneducated guess would be the beginning of next week, Monday or Tuesday, the 1st full week of December.

I have a Losi Trail Trekker 1/24 scaler/crawler thing (that i kinda hate) and I don't even use foams in the RC4WD Super Swampers. I find them useless at that size and weight. The truck itself is so light, even with mostly aluminum parts, that the wheels get so little grip even without foams. I hope that the 1/18 yeti will at least be heavier, if not I wouldn't use foams in it anyway.

I love minis and micros. What great news! Buying a yeti jr asap!
I started off buying a 1/24 Losi SCTE along with a co worker to see if R/C was something we'd want to get in to. Then we bought trail trekkers. Our first time running them we said "Screw this!" and decided to order our Yetis

:ror: yeah, stock trekkers are pretty lame. You can do a lot with them though, and for cheap. Not for everyone but if you've only got a mini/ micro sized rock pile they can be more fun than a big rc

IMO micros are a great platform to build a custom rig from. Especially if you go bigger than 1/24 up to 1/20 which is perfect IMO. Because of the small size its easier to find a challenge. It's also nice to be able to easily crawl indoors which IMO a mini isn't much better than a 1/10-1/8 for indoors, a micro is just right.

One of the reasons I decided to go 1/10 was that working on 1/24 was soo painful with all the tiny parts and screws. I have about 300 CDN in my SCTE which is now a shelf queen. I was considering selling the Trekker but since it's in mint condition and discontinued I decided to hang on to it.
