Axial Factory 6x6?

Not my pics but ones I’ve found on Facebook. I’m definitely interested in it.

Someone in the Axial FB group said they talked to a marketing exec at PLBTF who said “off the record” the 6x6 would be going into production. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The pictures I have seen floating around show it is 1.9's on the truck. And I agree with the bed detail. We will have to wait and see what happens with this.

Looking at the pics above, it does appear to be on 1.9s?🤔

Hmmm, I was watching one of Harly’s videos from PLBTF and I could have sworn a saw it crawl through the background on 2.2s? 🥴

If it comes as a kit, I will buy it. Looks like it’s production ready. You can see the bed is molded to go around the shock towers/body mounts too.

I guess this is "big" release for Axialfest plus updated SMT10 probably.

It's interesting that Axial is releasing stuff that people have already done in the past.

-First it was the 1.9 Wraith. Most people had already done this conversion if they wanted one. Personally this is the only new Axial that has grabbed my attention. I'm awaiting the updated truck that doesn't have a fragile chassis.
-Second the Dingo wheelbase SCX10 II. Most people didn't seem to want short trucks and I assume that's why it took so long to get a replacement.
-Third this 6x6 Chunimog. I'm guessing it will be the "UMG66". The OG SCX10 kit (not sure about the RTR) included pass through axles so many people made 6x6s. There are some cool 6x6s out there, but they are made by Cross RC.

Axial is recycling while the rest of the industry is improving. I wonder if this 6x6 is also a leftover idea from HobbiCo. I also wonder when Horizon is going to start putting their stamp on Axial. That's when I expect things to start changing at Axial for the better.
