Axial Ridgecrest Tube frame build

yes, everything is working great. I am working on tires right now. I am switching from 5" to 5.5 to get the pumpkin to clear a little better.

Well I have been able to get back to work on the tuber. I built a rack to hold the frame as I powder coated it. Not perfect for a first try, but I am happy with it.

I just got my first crawler and learned about this genre of the hobby last May. I think I'm hooked....

lol I've got another 400 in parts coming in next week. not for the ridgecrest though. I think I got all the parts to put together a decent scaler though I won;t know if anythings missing till they get here and I try to put it together. I've not spent this much on a hobby since I was into archery and spent a few thousand on a competition bow. though paintball came close.

I have to admit, I was losing hope when you posted the red chassis but......it really came together NICELY!!!

GREAT JOB, HOSS

Now, just change your battery set up from one up front to two small batteries on either side of the transmission - behind the side panels! That would be HAWT!

I know what you mean. When addng bold colors like that it's all about balancing it out with other colors.
Thanks for the complment.

Ok, so it is now complete and lights are installed and ready to go.
Classes start on Monday and I have 3 ridgecrests for my students to work with. let's see what they can engineer.

very nice truck, I think if you change tires to scale tires on it it could look pretty scale except the servo up front, but still. I'd love to be able to do a frame like that.

They are finishing the modeling drawings of the stock Ridgecrest right now. As soon as they have that assembled they can start modifying and experimenting. Getting close."thumbsup"
