Axial rr10

I'm going to wait and see what the kit will come with upgrades on it. I won't be crawling this truck much, just bashing the snout out of it. So I will change the tires to something a little different and old school crawling days..

6 out of the current 8 Wraith skid plates screws will bolt up, plenty to capture it. However it will take some work to sort out your link geometry and interference's.

Yeah, I predict the number one retrofit mod for the Wraith will be the RR10 skid and trans combo. Even if you didn't want rear trailing arms on your Wraith the Wraith links wil still bolt right up. Then you can have 2 speed if you want, trailing arms if you want, more upper link mounting options for suspension tuning. Much more versatile skid than the stock Wraith skid. Most only run two screws on each side of the Wraith skid anyway. Three on each side would be more than strong enough.

I have asked the same question myself. To be honest I was hoping that this would be closer in scale to the scx10. Axial has clearly decided that this is the new 1:10 scale. I guess we can either get along or get lost... :-D

For me I lost most of my interest when I got a grasp on its size. Absolutely love the engineering and the look of the truck. But it is too big for me to throw me over the preorders. Maybe I'll pick up a kit or a used one at a later point. Most of the places I run these kind of trucks, even the wraith has problems due to its width.
I'll stick with the Twin Hammers, SCX and Ascender, like those so much.
As for buying a new Axial. I'm pretty stoked about the Yeti Score TT, that one is for a completely different use and terrain, so will not compete with the others I got in the same way.

1/10 doesnt mean anything its all relative to what its being modeled after. I think the yeti is the perfect size for the type of vehicle it is. Works great.

For me size on the crawlers is a big deal, if you are unfortunate to have a breakdown on a long hike, a bigger rig is such a pita to carry back. And in that aspect the Twin Hammers is the perfect size. But it is such a trooper and have never broken down, miscalculated battery usage once and had to carry it a bit though. And the width is also important since the paths I run them on is narrow forest and mountain paths. The wraith get hung up in vegetation all the time, or it can't fit through gaps.
Had a awful experience a few weeks ago. Got a cheap Summit on a traid, cus my nephew got a thing with big trucks. Went on a hike with it and a scx and a Ascender. Had 10000mah 4s for the summit and thought it would last a while, but it was empty before the scx had used a 3s 2200mah, so had to carry it back. And from now on, the summit only get used in close proximity of my full-size car.
But even though the Bomber is to big for my taste, I think it will be very popular in more open terrain, and also in the U4 scene.

I just sold my yeti yesterday. I mainly bash about in my backyard,which isn't that big. I spent a lot of time making 3 point turns with my yeti.MyTwin Hammers is just way more nimble. If I had the space I'd own RR10 in a heart beat. Now I'm thinking I may do a SCX10 based Wraith combo. I really can't wait to see what the board members and venders do with this rig.

Yup, you wouldn't say a 1:1 Ford Raptor and a 1:1 Chevy S10 are different scale but their size is greatly different. The RR10 is bigger than a SCX10 power wagon is bigger than a dingo. 1:10 scale....ish "thumbsup"
