Fixing the leaking problem with the shocks would be great, the shocks are great otherwise..
I have been testing the prototype axles for a few weeks now. As the production parts come in the door, I test fit them and make notes documenting possible issues. We then collectively discuss possible fixes/modifications. We are doing everything in our power to bring our customers the best product we can. But, we all know Rome wasn't built in a day either. :ror:
Bender - are these axle shafts interchangeable with AX10's? PLEASE SAY YES.

That is still classified info. ;-) :ror:
Brad, where can we find actions shots like the one in your avitar?
Hey Bender or Axial,
Has anything been done with the leaky o-rings of the comp shocks?
Many of us who have used them have experienced a leaking problem.
We all know the cartridge outer o-ring is not correct size, but others are also having issues with the shaft o-rings. I personally built sets for my wifes and my own rig, was extremely careful not to gouge o-rings, built them exactly as described in axials blog, and they all leak a bit. Teflon tape helped the outer o-ring leak, but what about the shaft o-rings? Some of them just weep oil constantly if running light weight (30-40wt), so I currently have them mounted upside down to keep the oil in.
I really like the design of the shocks and have recommended them to others. Just want a shock that holds oil like it is supposed to.
I know this has been discussed over and over here on the forum, but this is the perfect opportunity for all of us Loyal Axial fans to have our problem heard and addressed.
That being said, I personally am very excited about the XR10 and am patiently waiting to build one.
Please listen to your customers Axial.....................
I for 1 will be excited if they fix the shock leaking problems. I run them on my rig and of course they'll come on the xr10 I ordered![]()

I agree! The shocks are Great! Axial just needs to address the leaks
Hey guys,
Regarding the shocks leaking, we definitely haven't been ignoring your input. We are constantly working towards testing and replicating any issues we hear as well as making small changes where needed to solve any possible problems we find.
I personally built the shocks that are pictured in all the product shots and just looked over this rig today, not a spot of oil on the rod ends "thumbsup"
so what's the hex to hex width of these axles compared to the AX-10 axles??? if they are the same, any chance of an AX-10 steering conversion with those C's, knuckles and universals?

I've got a few outdoor shots. But, my avatar picture is the marketing kit, which is just a roller, for photos. I will see if we can get a few of those outdoor shots up as well. ;-)
X2.
And if you can, whip up a quick vid of it trying to climb the windshield of your 1:1. "thumbsup"

Why use Universals over CVD's?
Are the universals rebuildable or do you toss the axles and shafts in the bin when they break/wear out?
How is the strength of the center of the diff housing? The axle housing looks super strong with the webbing but the center looks like it could use some strengthening. Does the gearbox give it strength?
One last question, I notice the diff housing bolt together top to bottom. Is this the reason for the webbing in the axle part of the housing?
thanks
Also is there going to be an option to make the front axle into a rear axle with lockouts and straight shafts for those that like running there axles the same width?
