Picked up an all original Clod Body complete with the Chevrolet tail gate and the Chevrolet grill. Then soon decided that I really wanted to build a Blazer so sorry if I have offended anyone, but I started cutting. Used some body filler to fill the gap from the bed and the tilt front clip, as well as the hood hole. First time doing any thing like this.

Im using my old Scx-10 Cherokee rig as a donor for the running gear, so original plan was to do the body and set it on the chassis and run it. The more I messed with it, the more I wanted to go more scale.
Parts List:
Scx-10 Dingo Kit
Axial running gear
Rc4wd 1.9 Steel bead locks
Tires?
Original Clod body
Scale Off Road K5 emblem kit
3Racing winch
Rc4wd winch hook
Rc4wd Scale hubs
RcBros Leaf spring kit F/R
Chino 63 Military wrap leaf springs
Shocks?
Tekin 55T Hand Wound
Castle Mamba Max ESC
Castle BEC
Hitec 645
3s Lipo

Going to let the pictures do most of the talking. Any questions or pointers are very welcome.

Made my own clear glass. It was really easy and very cheap. Left the sun roof and smoker windows tinted. "Rolled down" the side glass(cut out). I marked where the glass shows with a fine tip sharpie, then removed it and cut out the windshield leaving a frame of the original glass that sits behind the body. Also used the eyebrow sticker to help give extra hold. Explain in a minute. Then take some thin clear lexan and trim just oversize of the oem glass. Glue the lexan to the bottom lip of glass frame. Trim the top of the lexan so that it is about half the height of the eyebrow. I chose to use another eyebrow sticker to hold it at this point. Then just reassemble in the truck. I had to spot glue the base around the wiper area because the frame was not as strong and wanted to pull in a bit. Thats how i did it anyways.

Hoping to be done in the next couple weeks but work is crazy busy and Im picking up my Wraith on tuesday, and i have $600 worth of crap and a lot of fab to go in to that truck, among other builds. Just depends on what gets me motivated when the time strikes. Also, on the tire situation, I want to run a 4.5 tire or close, not bigger. I like to run stuff that i would run on my 1:1s. thinking i may just have to have Eddie @ Crawler InNovations build me a set of 4.5" 1.9 Rc4wd 1.55 Stompers. Think thats it for now, I'm going back to detail duty.

Finished up detailing the body and added GPS. Doing this little detail stuff really brings back the good ole days of building static models.

Thanks guys, much appreciated and helps with the motivation. I usually just focus on tube and metal work with my stuff being a machinist, but used to love static models and this way I can actually play with them. And my son thinks they are awesome.
