Bananaclip’s 4door Trail Rig

Thank you Gents! I’m pretty happy with the cage outcome. I wanted to add more bars to the cage but chose to hold off in effort to keep weight down. A few more bars could go in anytime if I choose. I did end up getting some decent temps outside so I sprayed some primer, hit it with a wet sand and…………..

Baby steps.

I let the base coat dry a day and it went back in the bath for its final wet sand. I was able to get the top coat down and have started reassembly

Top coat. Desert tan

I plan on adding the lights, mirrors and windshield today if all goes as planned. I have the drivetrain removed from the frame. I need to go through and final weld everything and toss some paint on the frame. Other than that. Paint the fender flares and make some inner fenders. This girly is moving right along.

That looks beautiful travis! Youve done an incredible job with this one. I need more patience to do the same lol

Yeah, nice color! It's gonna look great with all the details added to it!"thumbsup"

Thank you gentlemen for the kind words. They definitely keep me focused.

More progress! I managed to final weld the frame, clean it up and spray some semi gloss. I’ve left it hang over night. I need to snag some rubber gloves for assembly hopefully later today.

Loving this thing my brother. Can’t wait to see how it turns out and we get it out on the rocks.

My brother……….. yes sir. I appreciate the desert sand recommendation you offered. The colors really works on this build.

I gently put everything back together last evening. I can’t wait to get the windshield, lights and mirrors installed. None the less here she is…

Just got back from Moab and saw a few built JKs full size just like this "thumbsup"

Looks mighty fine Mr.....

Good morning Gents. I appreciate the feedback from both you cool fellas. In all honesty this damn thing is clean and everything just came together. The stance, the wheels, metalwork it’s all there. The holes from the previous owner, jacked up interior, and my license plate bracket delete are left with no trace of being present. I built one of these things back in the day. I wish photo bucket didn’t take a shit on us. We could compare one of my first builds to current. That would be fun.

Enough of that…I have progress to report……

Windshield, lights, and driver mirror installed. I am currently missing the passenger mirror but never fear. It’s here somewhere and if not I have a complete spare body.

Pics.

Super sick rig man. I think I said it before, but the diff covers greatly improve the look of the ar45’s.

Great style on this one

Beautiful work! It truly is impressive to see how clean it turned out. It is wickedly understated

Thank you gentlemen for you feedback. I agree on the covers. Im not a big brass kinda guy. Usually go with SSD brass knuckles and rear drums at most. Those were needed on the 45.
Yes all….. super pumped. I still need to paint and add the flares and some inner fenders a few other small things and donzo. It will get ran or sold. Haven’t quite decided.
