Basher Rocksta 1/24 New Micro Crawler

got one on the way to mess around with, looks like it will arrive tomorrow. ill let you guys know what I think and answer questions. really would like to put some kind of body on there, anyone have ideas?

ok this little rig is interesting... here are my thoughts after one run.

Works good out of the box already bound to the tx, steering had to be turned down using the d/r adjustment on the tx but everything functioned properly including all steering modes.

tires are not terrible they have decent grip on my desk obstacles, certainly not as bad as lego tires.

here is the real surprise, this thing has an overdriven front drive! it works pretty good too. not sure if it is mechanical or programmed that way but it is quite obvious.

low speed control is very good and i can crawl this thing around a 1 square foot area no problem, steering angle is OK but the steering modes make up for that.

the springs are way too stiff but it has good articulation...

not sure about durability quite yet but otherwise as far as value is concerned im pretty impressed. the battery compartment is held in with a tray and four TINY clips, this is annoying.

if anyone needs measurements etc let me know.

What sort of hexes does it use? I just still wonder if other wheels could be used. I'm interested in this little fella since losi no longer makes their micro crawler.

It uses a 7 mm hex for the wheels. The hex only sits quite stuck in the wheels when you take it off.

You can see pictures of the hex and more in my thread.

I have only had an hour to mess with it, hah didnt notice that! the hex was stuck in the wheel but came out very easily. Looks like Drav has the experience and very nice pics, refer over to his thread for better detail!

Just got a Rocksta to play/learn with....So far I have learned to slow down, slow and deliberate is better at times than full power. Also learned that trnny gears are plastic , if a wheel gets stuck it will strip.
Got a metal set ordered.
I am just learning about rock crawling , so now I got an exceede maxstone 1o , an older Losi night crawler and my new Rocksta......now looking at scale too.
It is easier to play in the house that go fly rc planes in the wind.
