Basic (inexpensive) Decent Sensored Motor/ESC ?

I Still think the Traxxas ET-3S + a holmes hobbies motor is a viable and less expensive option.

ET-3S = $65 new and is a toned down/same internals as a MMP (limited to 3s which you dont plan on running higher than 3s, and still uses castles easy to use software)
Holmes Trailmaster BL 540 sport 2-pole sensored 3300kv = $65

Just my $0.02

I guess was thinking I would need one of the more expensive Holmes motors. Looks like I would need to add the sensor wire to that one? How does it compare to the xerun motor?

Can someone recommend a trustworthy seller for a $65 ET-3s?

Thats who I bought both of my ET-3S' from. Bought 2 thinking I'd need a spare....but its been sitting with its new deans connector collecting dust since the first ET-3S is running great still.

Get the ET-3S. Flash the firmware and it's a MMP. The Castle Link software will even show it as an MMP and not the Traxxas ET-3S. You can also make it "water resistant" by pouring silicon conformal fluid into the case, let it sit for a second, and then turn it over to drain!
