I have been looking for a good way to get the battery up front in my spawn. Lots of stuff on the wraith but not on the spawn please help

The spawn is same as wraith? I have both and relocation of battery same on both. "thumbsup"

I did mine this past week. Took the stock battery tray out of the back, trimmed a bit and put it in front of the firewall. Removed the received from the box (and removed the box), then waterproofed the rx. I took the mount panel off the back of the stock Spawn ESC and superglued it where the box was, on the angled section. Then double taped the ESC to the panel, and the rx above that. Worked out well for me.

I did clean up the wiring a bit after this pic.

Battery forward makes a big difference for me when climbing.

the waterproof box is different on the spawn

Your going to lose the box no matter what when doing the battery to the front mod. All the Wraiths are the same, just different bodies and apparently a waterproof Rx box, same mods apply to all though.

I ended keeping the waterproof box. I just took the screws out of the bottom and shaved off the antenna post on top and the box will pin between the two cross rail right above it. The cut one side of the battery tray and screwed it back to where the front of the box was. I also moved the ecs forward to the front hole so I didn't need any jumpers. It worked grate. My spawn went every where and nothing moved.

I am still using stock box in my spawn. I trimmed off where the front screw goes and moved box forward and used ckrc battery forward plate just using two rear screws and zip tie across to make sure box did not come loose. I will try to post pictures.

i'd love to see a picture of this. :)

4-40 3/8" zinc machine screws to hold the body with nylon cap nuts. Aluminum "T" plate. Receiver box next to driver. The rear end needs work to keep from bouncing around. Don't want to add more weight. Any ideas? Softy suspension?

Aluminum "T" plate. Receiver box "between the seats". ESC and on switch mounted firmly on one plate the way God intended (now with Deans plugs). 4-40 zinc plated 3/8" machine screws as body mounts with nylon cap nuts for easy access.

Check the post date, quite a bit of necromancy there. I prefer the Crawlspace "Da Box" which is a molded ABS tray, keeps the muck/water off the electronics.

I stuck a 5000mAh 3s monstrosity up there WITH the stock Rx box. So yeah, it can be done. It's held in by 2 straps and leans against the transmission. Nothing below it.

Here is how I did mine, some metal scraps I had that got riveted together. Then screwed down with some zap straps accordingly. I moved the reciever box to the
right. I left the original battery spot in place and used the adapter plug that came with the rtr as an extender. I can run with 2 packs in and easily change from battery to battery without removing the body. Hardly ever take use it that way but I thought it would be cool. It does go on some long trail rides. It's an easy swap with the battery though. I got rid of the body attach screws and installed part of a traxxas battery hold down kit and put the studs where the screws for the body went into the frame, the use pins on the outside.
