does the light on the charger turn green when the battery is fully charged? i read on the battery thread about the green light. none of my
batteries would turn green after 10-12 hrs. of charging but every one of them has about 1hr. of use.

i have 3 1:6 nylints, i bought a jeep off ebay and the light would turn green when fully charged, but the 2 scorps i bought from wal-mart stay read no matter how long i charge them. i dont know whats going on..i say charge them over night and take them off..thats what i do and me and a buddy ran them for like an hour and a half and high gear a lot. hope this helps somehow

The charger that came with my 1st gen changes to green after the battery is fully charged. The charger that came with my 4th gen does not change to green. It is always red. I swapped batteries to chargers to test it. It's not the battery, it's the charger.

both of mine stay red, even after a 40hr charge.

out of my buddy's one stays red the other (his original) goes from red to yellow to green. go figure.

I'm using a Battery Tender Jr. charger. (www.batterytender.com). Its a smart charger that won't overcharge. Just make sure you get the new revision. You can tell the new ones because the red light blinks when there is no battery attached. The new Battery Tender Jr.s do a three stage charging process of initialization charging, bulk charging and then float charging. Works great with no problems. Rated at 12 Volts nominal and 750mA.

A 40hr charge maybe a little over board.
