Behind Axle Steering

It looks like a copy of Jetboat's link setup. I think the limiting factor here is the very short steering link. Ideally it should run across to the knuckle opposite of the servo. With such a short link, the maximum amount of steering travel is limited. And it would probably work better with a high clearance steering knuckle such as the one's Egressor sells, or the VP units.

How so? either way the servo is moving the link the same amount of distance. I have my JetBoat BTA with a short link, and I am getting full travel, I am limited only by not having CVD's. I actually had to reduce my EPA's to end up with the below pictured amount of steering because I was cramming the tires into the shocks.

A servo link that is longer and runs o a flatter plane will deflect less when the servo rotates thus allow for more travel per degree of servo rotation. Once you start using cvd's and high clearance knuckles (like the one's I use from Egressor) the limint facotr becomes either the cvd's maxing out, or the tires hitting something. This is a picture of my SSS with Egressor's knuckles and axial cvd's. no shocks really let me get them wheels around.
