The basis for this build is a Losi Mini Crawler Pro.

The pro version is equipped with most of the Losi option parts right out of the box:

  • Metal lockers in front + rear axel
  • Metal center locker
  • Losi CVD
  • Losi threaded alu. dampers
  • Reinforced metal driveshafts
  • Carbon fiber chassis
  • Beadlock wheels
  • Losi Mini Rock Claws Blue tires
  • Servo/axel plate for full size servo and space for a battery ++++

Installed the HotRacing reinforced alu. gears, Boca Green Seal bearings and MIP slipper clutch in the HotRacing alu. transmission housing.

I also got the Holmes Hobbies 33T motor mounted, using MIP motor screws.

Who ever said that a 1.9" Crawler build isn't as much fun as a 2.2" Pro rig

Opened up the rear axel to replace the original bearings with Boca Green seals "thumbsup"
I also applied locktite to the screws on the ring/pinion gears:

Installed Losi alu. lockouts and straight axle......

....and assembled the axle casing with longer bolts and nuts on the opposite side to prevent the housing to expand and affect the gear mesh.
I also installed wide alu. hexes:

That's going to work real nice Bent. "thumbsup" My Moonbuggy 2.2 loves it's GC-2 origin. "thumbsup"

Thanks "thumbsup"

Can't wait to get this mini done and out on the rocks.

Should be a blast to drive as a contrast to it's bigger brother with all the bells and whistles

No DIG to save your a** when you screw up choosing the wrong line

This build thread is beautiful, the photography is just outstanding. Your rig definately deserves this motor plate.

Can't wait to see this through to its conclusion - superb work so far.

I know, I know.........I didn't find this motorplate until a few days ago actually

I can promise you that it will be on there though

And thanks for the kind words Frank.

Looking forward to Supercrawl ;-)

A very Pro build!
I just got the pro roller yesterday and want to go bodiless. With it being so narrow are there any problems moving to what I assume is a wider chassis?

Thanks ;-)

They are actually both exactly the same width; 39 mm (1,535")

So far I have had no real issues.

Hi Bent,

how long you are making the links from eye to eye?

regards
Jörg

Hi Jörg

These actually come pre-cut with the chassis.

Just add rod ends and you're done "thumbsup"

Measurements eye to eye:

Front uppers (w/small Traxxas rod ends): 78 mm

Rear uppers (w/small Traxxas rod ends): 84 mm

Front lowers (w/small Traxxas rod ends + Losi MRC rod ends): 84 mm

Rear high clearance lowers (w/small Traxxas rod ends + Losi MRC rod ends): 84 mm

Sorry for a bit offtopic Bent

Jörg, maybe you ask Julian if he could send you the links for it, he should still have them.

Offtopic mode off. If got some 3mm Grade5 Ti laying around, this should be a opportunity for some uppers

Stock plastic lockers? Are you planning on changing these? Build looks great otherwise.
