Best 1.0 bead lock wheel?

The RC4wd stamped steelies arent necessarily a "bad" wheel. But you'll be punching babies and drop-kicking midgets by the time you get em assembled!!! (No joke).
Eh, just joking.
They're just one of the more "frustrating" assemblies in all of (my) RC career. Lol!
I recently picked up some BangRCGear beadlocks and ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM! They are a beautiful addition to any 24th build, only have 5 screws to secure the wheel together, AND they actually screw in behind each spoke! Which gives the face of the wheel a much-much "cleaner" look! Did i mention their machining is almost-ART-ful?! Check em out!

Best is subjective, there really isn't a "best" different tires sometimes mount differently on different wheels.
Though some are easier to mount on some tires than others. Usually those with the 4 screws to lock the halves together are easiest. Find a set that have the looks you like in your price range and go from there. There's a bunch of options these days. RC4WD, RPPHobby, eBay, and Amazon all have 1.0" wheels

Treal beadlocks are nice and easy to assemble. They are my second favorite. Kinetic Accent Buckshots are my favorite. Expensive and haven't seen them for sale recently.....so Treal[emoji106]

The SSD 1.0 wheels are really sweet (and look especially awesome with the C10 body). I don’t have any other micro wheels to compare them to but SSD wheels have been great for me in all the other sizes.

I have SSDs on one truck and RC4WD steels on another, both mount up well with RC4WD tires but the SSDs are much, much easier to mount up. A few longer screws to get the steelies started going together would make them much easier, the paint around the screws at least on my white ones chips super easy too.

Just a quick word of caution. Not all 1.0" wheels work with all 1.0" tires. Be prepared for this or ask around here about what others have found success with.
ive only got 2 types of 1.0 wheels the stock losi wheels i have 2 sets of those and 2 sets of the rc4wd steelies
the losi wheels suck nuff sead the rc4wd wheels the first set of tires i mounted were a pain in that thing you know that thing and they were rc4wd tires too the second set i mounted went on like butter super easy also rc4wd
the rc4wd boggers wont fit on the losi beadlock wheel but the micky tompsons rc4wd tire will fit the losi wheel kinda funny if you ask me
i like my stamped steelies but i can only compair them to the junk i have laying around

Im partial to the HBX monster bead locks.
They space out your stance. The are bead locks. You can wrap solder wire about the barrels for weight and they look cool. Plus you get a set of monster truck tires if you ever want to look like a monster truck.

I need SSD to make some black slots. Really like the wheel, just wish they had a black version.

First time scx24 owner. I watched a youtube video showing a paper clip trick and was able to build my rc4wd stamped beadlocks with mudslingers in under an hour

An hour? I'm down under 20 minutes a set for their steel bead locks. LOL.
I will just say this. As mentioned, some tires don't work with some wheels. I have been wanting to try a set of Treal wheels but have seen quite a few complains of the beads not holding. I've never had an issue with the beads not holding with RC4WD tires on RC4WD wheels. I stick with theirs for that reason.

So, I was surfing around for some RC4WD wagon wheels and found a set of Treal bead locks for $36 on Amazon. Figured I’d give them a try. Also picked up a set of Injora and another set that was only $19. For that price why not give them a try. I’ll report back when I get them.
