im gonna take the plunge and trim the lil lugs off my 1.9 boggers...and i was just looking for any tips/ tricks on how to do it properly...thanks in advance

Cuticle trimmers.... Get yourself a nice pair from wally world. They are the best thing I have used to date for trimming tires.

I'll second the cuticle trimmers, though the little woman wasn't happy when she found me using them.

I use these, TowerHobbies.com | 2175B Xuron Track Cutter

A little bigger than the trimmers and a little more comfortable. Still able to get in there and make good cuts. Search for Xuron, they make all kinds of trimmers and cutters.

I used a pair of curved lexan scissors. Even old ones cut right thru and flush with the tires carcass. Took no time. Easier if ther not mounted on a wheel. So you can bend them a bit.IMO

I use a pair of side cutters/dykes/wire cutters that I ground the back side (the side opposite the large cupped out side) of the cutting area down flush with the cutting edge and they cut Boggers like a champ, I have done it on several sets and it works great. They are just the right amount of sharp, too sharp and the cuts will want to wander and too dull and they will look bad.

After you figure out what to cut them with, then you need to figure out a pattern.
