I got tired of not having enough balls to climb, or stalling out with good traction. So I got a 75t Integy motor."thumbsup" After testing it out, a motor should be everyones first mod.:idea:

Negative, I was running that Saturn P.O.S. that comes with the truck.:roll: I wish the wheely king had come with a 55t or a 35t would be nice.:lol:

What are you climbing then, I never had a problem with the 27t stalling.

Mine stalls out all the time. My gearing is the stock motor gear(can't remember if its the pinion or spur) and the other is a 96 tooth. Still stall out. I think think the motor shouldn't take all the blame though. My stock battery is about the weakest thing produced.

I still use the stock motor but I use 4000mah batts instead
I have a 24/90 gear ratio with smaller tires
And it can still pull wheelis "thumbsup"

It's a question of torque. The stock motors have lots of power, but little torque, that's why a stock motor will "hang" when wedged btwn rocks. A higher turn motor will have the extra torque necessary to turn the wheels even when hung up, but at the sacrifice of wheel speed.

I've got a 55T motor and have had little problems with it. I find the 55T is a good compromise for bashing and crawling, lots of torque and still enough wheel speed to keep me happy. I think any higher and I'll start slipping the tranny more or start breaking more axles.

I gotta say, though, I miss doing wheelies!

And don't get me started on the com scorching from low speed stuff. Nothing ruins a good crawl more than a motor that won't work till your clean the carbon off the com.

thats a decent lookin rubicon, hitman, too bad it doesnt crawl too well tho. you say thats the 27t motor? maybe its the smallish tires as well.with the stock frame i wont run anything under the stock tire dia. then i run the shocks without spring spacers. but you need the ground clearance to avoid stalling on things like that with the stock motor."thumbsup"

The video was miss leading. The only thing left from my Wheely king is the axles and trans. My truck has over 3 inches of ground clearance, and weighs 7.6 lbs that is why the 27 turn stocker can't do it any more. However stalling was a problem even before the new cage was built.
