I like the look of the Boom Racing Krait 1.9 beadlocks but I'm looking for a little more information if anyone is using them.

1. The 2.2 size are shown as being about 305 grams for four while the 1.9 comes in at 348 grams. Does this make sense?

2. Three 0.5mm shims per wheel are provided for tires with thicker beads. Are these reasonably useful or just fiddly?

3. Delrin lock rings are available for these wheels. How much weight reduction will these give compared to stock?

I’ve used a set in 2.2 and 1.9. They go together very easy and they’re good looking wheels. I did not require the spacer discs at all. I’ve no clue about the weight discrepancy between the 2.2’s and 1.9’s. Seems strange. I’d weigh them for you to confirm, but they have tires mounted on them.

I’ve had Pitbull, Proline and Duratrax tires on them. All went on very well.

Nice to know they go together easily. I like the style and the availability of the, hopefully, lighter delrin rings is also a plus for me. Guess the best way to find the answers is to buy a set.
