Bought a Ridgecrest on craigslist for$100

I bought a used ridgecrest on Craigslist for $100. It came with a nice 10 amp lipo charger and a tackle box of parts. The only thing it needs is a new front long axle. Im reading thru the forums now but what should I upgrade first and what is the weak links. I have a summit also that I occasionally rock crawl with but for 100 bucks I couldn't resist trying this one out. It has a traxxas esc in it and was wondering if the stock one would be worth finding to put back in for the engine braking? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Great find, stock ESC works good. Change the greaing to 87/14 for crawling. I would make a new steering setup and then replace what you brake. If you want to run 3cell use a BEC.

Boy, I would give a hundred for another set of axles..... I have used mine building a sporty and would love to have a couple more!
