Boyer built Toyota truggy project...

I'm trying to sell this truck now that we have had our son and money is tight..... but everytime I look at it it seems like a bad idea to get rid of it!!!!!!!! I still haven't really even touched it since I got it back from trost!!!! Why didn't anyone tell me babies took so much time out of your day? :ror:

I wish I had that skill to make such a nice cage. Maybe I'd pull my lux back out if I could do something like that. How much for one seriously?

Still up for sale man, no takers yet ?? Can't believe it, WHAT'S UP PEOPLE besides the economy :x?? You don't see a Boyer up to often let alone a nice well finished one, I'd jump at it if I wasn't in the middle of some 1:1 truck mods at the moment. Good luck Ryan, wish I could help you out this round brother. Remember to take a few bucks of the sale and get that little guy a nice warm RCC beenie, winters coming "thumbsup".

I managed to screw this thing up before I even got to drive it!!!! I dropped my speed square and it took a tiny chip off the roof. Just so I didn't have to look at it I stuck a tiny marlin crawler sticker on it lol. Nothing like ghetto fixing a rig I have at leats a grand into:ror:

I can't believe that this truck is coming to me....I did a multi rig trade for it !!!

I really love the 2 piece cage design on this chassis. It makes it really unique.

I really respect the guys who have had a hand in making this rig...it's pretty much a piece of art...in my eyes.

But....... I will be doing some slight mods to the front.

I plan on cutting off the angled piece below the winch mount...and then removing an inch or 2 from the lower front of the chassis.

Then..I will flip that lower piece that I cut off...around...and re-attach the outer part of the lower chassis....back...about 1-1/2"-2".

That will give this rig a much better approach angle...and do away with the anchor part.

I really like how Boyer made this chassis look really scale to the 1:1...when looking at it from the front view.

I hope to retain that look a bit....but I also am planning on using this rig so I want a good approach angle.

I've got TONS of ideas...of what I want to do to this truck....swirling around in my head !

I plan on a major axle upgrade.

I've got a set of the Beefy Aluminum Bruiser axle Replica's ..on the way....that RC4WD made a few years ago.

These:

Or I may go with some Yota's...or maybe even some of the Alum. K44's.

I will figure out more....when I get the truck in my hands.

How is my baby doing???? Man I miss this rig!!!

Hey bud...the rig's doing great !!

It's getting a few upgrades and changes though

I'm trying to decide between ALuminum YOTA Axles and Aluminum K44 Axles...right now.

It will be running Cad To Chrome's Walker Evan's beadlocks.

It's still getting the front approach angle re-done (I may start cutting on it today !!!:shock:)

It almost feels wrong to cut into this piece of art...BUT...it will make for a more usable rig (for me anyways)...in the end.

I've got some really cool body changes coming too.....I'll just say that it's going to still be Toyota based....and it's not going to be like any of the current bodies that are available right now.

Oh yea....and the body's gonna be Aluminum

I've got some awesome Shock towers/hoops for it now too....they were made by R2J Kustoms....and slither302 (previous owner)....was kind enough to stick them into the mail and pass them along to me.

Here's what they look like:

OH yea...and I'm also making up some more scale accessories for it (like the POWERTANK...that's in this picture)

The POWERTANK isn't done yet...still finishing up the handle for it.

I'll send a few updates...when I get any of my changes done to it !

is this thing still around its 1 bad yota

Oh YEA ! I'm sittin here lookin at it right now !! LOL

I done away with the Axial axles....and then I got rid of the silver axles and upgraded to some new BILLET Ultimate Yota Axles.

I'm changing a few other things around on it slowly but surely ....it's one of those projects that I only do one or 2 things on....every now and then !!!

It's the ONLY one that I've ever seen....that Boyer built like this .....and that makes me want to keep it even more ! LOL

I may work on finishing it up sometime in the next month or 2 ....it's getting a re-paint....new interior...different wheels/tires....etc. !

Well I now have aquired this beauty. I am going to get it ready for the King of Lucia at the Axial Northwest Scale Championship.Well I didnt like the cast yota axles, so I put in ax10 axles with Super 300s. Also built the trans with all RR gears and output. Novak 13.5t ballistic motor and 32p spur and 13t pinion. Here are a few pics:

should be a fun truck once it is completed

This is Rig is beyond Awesome. To all the Builders and Owners !! WOW !!! !! If this Rig is up for Sale, please let me know. Thank You !!

Well I just got ahold of this amazing rig today and all I can say is this has to be the sweetest looking Toyota I've ever held or seen, ill get some pics up tomorrow or Friday, I'm way too busy having fun with this thing to take pics and post them! This crawls just as sweet as it looks, the tube work is amazing along with the re-did interior and lights by my friend. He also cut off that stump dragger and re did the tube work in the front end so the approach angle is perfect.

Congrats on your purchase...it's a very cool rig !

Hey Teague...those weren't the CAST Yota axles...that I sold it to you with....those were the Ultimate BILLET edition axles...they cost quite a bit more than the cast axles (about double...I believe)...so I'm hoping you didn't sell them as "cast" yota axles !!

I haven't been on here in awhile...but good to see everyone is still building awesome rigs...take care !
