I think Mir might actually beat him this time. Mir will walk through Carwin, I've never seen Frank so motivated. I was really impressed with his boxing in the Cheick Kongo fight. Brock needs to greatly improve his standup.

I think Mir might actually beat him this time. Mir will walk through Carwin, I've never seen Frank so motivated. I was really impressed with his boxing in the Cheick Kongo fight. Brock needs to greatly improve his standup.

Dana White is a genius! (Sort of) The only reason Brock is in the UFC is so that people want to see a legit fighter f-up a half a$$ former WWE wrestler. Money in the pocket Dana. Since Brock is so big, Dana knew that fighters would have a problem with him (minus Mir) Flaw in his plan.

Kimbo is cutting to fight at 205 instead of heavyweight.
His now bigger arms will make it even harder to perform deep chokes on a large fighter like Carwin and Lesnar. I believe his Jui Jitsu will be worse because of this.
Lesnar is still stronger...he held Mir's hands down with one hand and beat him senseless.
Hate on Lesnar guys, it really don't bother me.
But think before him, the weight division was dead and boring. You had Tim "I life to throw one punch then hug my opponent" Sylvia as a champ...seriously?

Maybe some chokes like the rear-naked will be tricky with bigger arms on guys with thick necks, but I think something like a guillotine would still work just fine. And I highly doubt his jiu jitsu as a whole will suffer. If anything, his increased strength will give him an advantage in submissions. He'll really be able to crank on an arm or a leg.

I'm not a fan of Lesnar, I would like to see him lose, but he is a beast!
Mir is looking good, real good. I think he can takes him now. As far as his size it's only gonna help him crush Lesnar. I would love to see Brock sleep like Kongo was!

Does everyone forget that Brock was an outstanding collegiate wrestler before going to fake wraslin??? I don't see any of the heavyweights being able to really control him on the ground. I think Shane Carwin could give Brock a tough time if he gets past MIR. I'd also love to see how Brock does against the striking of Junior Dos Santos!

Is no one paying attention to mir.....he has completely changed his training. When he fought Kongo he had to cut weight to make 265. Last I heard he was pushing 275.......... Frank Mir is a beast now, a beast that has skills. That will all but negate the advantage that Lesnar had.
