Brood or HH?

I've run both, and the Brood motors I had performed well.

But if I have to choose, I'm going to have to choose Holmes Hobbies.

Johnrob in the original crawling motor guru. I now run Clawlmasters in all my rigs and have yet to have an issue. Plus it's comforting to know that if I ever did have an issue, I know the man behind the brand and I know his customer support is unsurpassed!

That makes all the difference in the world to me.

Ford is the winner

Only cause you got to work on the ford all day. Who's truck won truck of the year this year? O and they also paid the loan back "thumbsup":flipoff:

BTW, this is an old thread and alot of hear say from years past. I think it should be filed away

I came across this the other day. More than GMC and Chev combined.

GMC & Chevy. Kind of the same thing...

American Honda FTW!!!!

And Renault if we're talking F1.

And Holmes if we are talking crawlers. Class leading innovation and customer support. He even rebuilt an outrunner that I bought used for me. That thing humms like no other now.

No disrespect for Brood stuff though. Alot of people run them for a reason. I'm sure you aren't making a bad decision whichever way you go.

I have a brilliant idea though. Buy both. Find which you like. And snd me the other set:mrgreen: I'll happily use them for you.

Great idea, locals around me did. I can tell you what they came up with, butt my' sig should sum it up for everyone.

Cool. Send me all the HH motors you guys have. I'll gladly run them for you guys, free of charge. I'd like to try out some Crawlmaster 16t, so send those first:mrgreen:

Never tried the 5segs, I feel they are a gimmick. $segs are fine with me.

IDK... I always liked the 7 slot arm on the full size puller. That motor is bad ass. So bad ass that I wish it fit on my XR. I'd never look back. That said, the 5 slot Crawlmaster seems like a step in the right direction. Then again, 5 slots is closer to 4 than 7.

This thread is like Herpes.....seems to always pop up again.

Glad I was vaccinated....

:lmao:

I'm going to squash this thread right now by being the first to run a HH and Brood at the same time in my XR.

Since first place is in front, and second place is in back, the first vendor to send me a motor gets to go in the front axle, and second gets the back axle.

I put a brood arm in a holmes can with a checkpoint endbell and a fantom sticker on it.

:flipoff: awl yawl.

That must have been a BEAST!

Nope. Burned a wind, magnet came unglued, and that round brush cracked in half and took a huge chunk out of the comm. I tried to keep going and the motor got so hot the sticker peeled off. Total failure.

Fixed or repaired daily.

Thats all the fault of the sticker......see the sticker insulates heat, which caused the can to get really hot....so the glue came undone. This allowed the magnet to shift up into the brush hood, which then cracked the brush from the jolt....the cracked brush then fell into the rotating motor, causing it to lock up and draw excessive amps, which burned the wind......

So, this is proof stickers suck.

Oh, btw....all brood motors come stickered now.
