Brushed motor upgrade for Traxxas Summit?

I’ve searched high and low to no avail. Does anyone make a brushed motor that is faster, or has more torque, than the Titan 775? Any motors that actually have bearings?

I’ve exhausted myself looking on ebay. Ideally, I’d like to find a faster, smoother brushed motor for my truck.

Thanks for any leads.

I dont know of any faster brushed motors. But brushless is tons better if u want faster. And goin lipo helps alot too

I remember back in the day Dewalt drill motors were all the rage. I'm not sure how applicable that still is in the BL era though.

I've tried the RC4WD 16 turn 750 motor as it was touted as an upgrade. I didn't notice any speed increase or better crawling resolution. It burned up prematurely IMO so I put the stock Titan motor back in that already had four times the use on it than what I had put on the RC4WD motor. It's still in the truck and I have a brand new RC4WD motor hanging on the parts wall. I haven't tried the Dewalt option as I don't really think any brushed motor is going to really impress me. I've had my Summit for what seems like a decade and I think I'll just go brushless if I ever decide to upgrade.

Back in the day, there was a particular website that specialized in power upgrades for 550 and larger Traxxas brushed vehicles.

I remember that there was some sad news regarding the founder passing on, but I thought they were going to try to continue the business...

Seems they were offering DeWalt motor conversions and the like.

Maybe the name will pop back in my brain?

Or someone else will remember...

EDIT!

Kershaw Designs was the company.

EDIT #2

Nova RC is the newer name, looks like they are tied together and have a presence on farcebook, which I do NOT have - check it out, maybe it's helpful?

EDIT #3

Here's the thread from back then:
