Is brushed motors better than brushless. Does it matter. The only person i seen with a brush less had more money then brains, but thats a nother topic.

I Have A Hh Revolver An Its Nice But I Will Be Going Back To Brushed Set Up Because My Brother Has The Same Set Up As Me Just Brushed And Its Smoother Than My Revolver So Ill End Up Getting A 45t Soon

The only brush less motor that is really controllable and very competitive IMO is Novak's Goat System they are smooth and have tons of wheel speed because it's sensored. Most out runner motors have poor start ups with cogging or are really twitchy something you don't need in a crawler.
Most people are using brushed motors to get low speed control and wheel speed.

IMO brushless is more of a high speed thing.
i would say stick to brushed. they take to water better "thumbsup"
but if youy gonna go brushless, i liked the feel of the Novak goat system.

I'm a long time airplane guy who just started crawling this year. All my airplanes have been brushless for several years. But when it comes to crawling, a brushed motor is WAY better in my opinion. I ran a few crawlers that belonged to other people who are using brushless, and they are not nearly as smooth as my brushed crawler. And most brushed motors can be had for less than $20. Spend your money on a good ESC and just get a cheap brushed motor. I think you'll be happy.

i run a goat brushless and i love it.. Its smooth has good wheel speed when you want it and tons of power. its just as smooth as any brushless. when you set it to expo profile.

I run the novak goat brushless and it is incredibly smooth with great battery run times. There is also incredible power compared to the brushed setups ive seen, while keeping a decent wheelspeed for when you need it

I use brushless in my scale rigs and trail rigs where I don't want to mess with brushes, or when the motor will be underwater a lot. I use brushed motors in my comp rigs where I can't afford a studder.

i was under the impression that brushed motors are better for under water? If I am wrong then awsome cause i just got a brushless to try out on my new scale rig. I use brushless on all my other cars as i love them more than brushed but on my crawlers i have been going with the brushed because everyone else does so.

The novak motor doesn't like water. Sensorless brushless doesn't give a hoot, other than lube in the bearings. Brushed motors will get crappy very fast in water with any contaminants. The brushes and comm will get glazed. Outrunners in water for me unless it is at a comp. From my experience I have to cut the comm and brush every time I get into water, if I want the motor to run properly the next time out.

Any ESC will need to be an a balloon.

I was flipping a lot with a brushed motor, some of it was technic but when I would release the trigger the truck would stop on a dime sending the truck over once the front tires came of the edge of a drop. Going to try the goat if it does no better oh well I still have the brushed set up. Hope to test it out by this weekend.
