I am really getting in to the new brushless motors and would like to ask what others are using for their ESC and receivers? I have a couple of the Losi Exceleorin ESC's and they seem pretty good but sure there are better ones. I really like my brushless ESC from my Miniqlo but they are pretty expensive. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you

Just wanted to say THANK YOU for the lead on the ESC!! I bought a couple of the X 10A to try them out and very happy especially with the size. Stock setting work great, I haven't figured out the programming yet:-) 58 years old and hard to remeber all the steps. I did email Black Star and they said they hope to have a programmer available in March. The company seems to proivide EXCELLENT support.

Now if I could find some micro receivers I would be all set. Thank you again.

If you are willing to pick up a new radio in the mix ... the 3ch AE XP3 SS (ACE Cougar PS3) has the smallest Rx I've seen to date ... It's smaller than my MQlo MOA esc by a fair bit. Decased and it's freakin' tiny. You can find the Tx/Rx for ~$50 on e-bay and Rx's alone for ~$38
it's about 3/16-1/4" wider than and servo plug and maybe 1 1/2" long .... the Aarma Tx/Rx seems to have a small Rx as well.

If you search for the ACE model they now have a Computer version that looks pretty tempting @ $110 ... and uses the same Rx as the AE (the AE's are rebranded ACE units).

My gt3b rx decased isn't the smallest but it works well.
As for brushless my turnigy trackstar is killer with awesome programming options.
Still gonna grab a danally predator tho.

Rockfrog & elsewhere, are either of the receivers compatible with the stock Losi MCRC 2.4 Ghz transmitters? I have soooo many radios i don't have anywhere to keep another one:-)

No, neither will work. I just bit the bullet and grabbed an Ace Cougar PS3i off eBay. OT's the computer version of the PS3/XP3 ... It cost me about the same as a hacked GT3b with the options I wanted. Sure I'll pay $38 for a the trs401 Rx but the newer yrs 402's are cheaper yet and the same tiny size. And compatible with my radio. I'm going flog all the rest of my Tx/Rx's
And just keep the Losi one for the micro's and my PM3-mx and this new PS3i
