Are you not running the two speed? My hunch is the noise comes from the dogs for the 2 speed. From the pic above it looks like you’re only running the dig. If this is the case I’ll feel better about the noise.

I don’t use the dig very often and the ratios between low and high gear aren’t that far apart so I may simplify my set up after hearing how much quieter this is.

Yup in low. Im running a 12t pinion just about perfect with my throttle curve.

How did you route your steering servo and motor wires with the faux motor and front pulley/belt accessory to contend with? I don't think I've ever wish I could've mounted a servo with the wiring plug to the rear more!

Motor leads go under the rear brace along with the sensor wire(braided in pic) the servo lead go the other direction.I have a lot of room with the Holmes 2700 Stubby.Only issue I had was to make a 4” servo extension for the dig servo

I think so also. When I built the transmission I greased the shafts, and dogs well. This is the only thing I might have done to keep the clicking down, and running the single speed.
I also have OD gears in the diff, with Capra OD gears coming, OD usually makes for a bit more noise

Well I had to go to work today for a bit, took Bud with me, so we hit the rip rap that I’ve always used. Anyone who says these tires don’t..... is wrong!
It was HOT in the sun(92) so everything was also hot . This truck if the tires could grab an edge, I was up. Even the vertical entry, fronts on rock, rear in sand, UP I Went..... no dig used, yes I am running axial OD gears, and a 12t pinion on 3s, the stubby only spun the slipper once!! Can’t wait for a bit of weight.

OD , yup we’ve got it now. Axial in the pumpkin. Hot Racing in the portals. Added some VP cromoly stub shafts and a set of SSD hexes that match the SSD portal covers

Well I built it with the “OD” gearset I had here .and while it’s very capable, I just put the OD gears in my VFD, after enjoying them in the wife’s Enduro, and I needed more, as this is a climber.I usually add brass knuckles, but the portal covers seemed perfect weight wise. I’m still not happy with rear shocks, I think those big holes in the valves want 70 weight not 45

The 35 up front is okay... with the extra weight and grip, I may need to go up to 45 to 55.... I’m not sure if 60 or 70 will work better, if I don’t flush them out completely, I might end up with 65

Major difference in sidehilling... plants nicely now, no rear weights. Might go to 45 up front, I did adjust preload and seems much better.
