new body is looking good!! like those emblems they are pimp!! "thumbsup" where are the ghost flames??

Those will be for the next body, I just didn't get the paint mask I wanted, and was unsure of if I really wanted to lay that down on the scaler body. I need to scrounge up a few more Ambush bodies, as I have enough emblems for 4 bodies

I think the ghost flamed rig maybe another scaler all together too.....

Thanks buddy. Tryin to make the lexan body look as good as your hardbody!

You have the best cr-01 so far. Everyone is too busy running monster sized 2.2's with short wheelbased scale TLC bodies.

I like how the wheelbase lines up nicely. The chassis doesn't look out of proportion with the 1.9's. I'm also surprised that it pretty much covered the whole chassis. You can barely seen the bottom of it. I guess the oem bumper couldn't be used anymore, unless with some modifications?

Thanks, I am Binder nut and couldnt bring myself to run the FJ body  I think the CR-01 is a good alternative to a hilift for an out of the box scaler. Not the most accurate with the cantilever suspension, but that is fixable and will be fixed here shortly "thumbsup"

Well the reason the chassis is almost all the way covered is I run the body slammed so low that the hood rests on the top of the chassis when its pinned. You could raise it up, leaving a bit more of the chassis exposed, but that is all body dependant and dependant on your personal tastes in how low do you want the body.

OEM bumper wont work without MAJOR mods, and I'd rather just build a set of bumpers anyways.

Hey Busted that looking good on that Tamiya Chassis perfect. "thumbsup"

Thanks, I am just glad I could finally get something under that body as it has been sitting there begging for those emblems for quite sometime now

i dont think that is legal in Pa... the tires stick out alittle to far to pass inspection.;-)

Meh...I'll plate it back in TN where everything is legal

Damn...that is an ugly Scout. Way to go!!

I really need to find time to work on some of my crap. Maybe I should give you my stuff and let you build it for me!:?:

Yes sir...that is how I roll

Hey send it up here, I am sure we can work something out "thumbsup"

man that thing is ugly, i say you just save your time and effort and give it to me, and i will dispose of it...;-)

why go all the way there?? why not just plate it for ohio??

Haha... no I think I will keep it, she is too ugly for anyone else.

Why go to TN, cause anything can be plated there. No inspections, no emissions, no running around like you have to do in Ohio

I was wondering if you were ever going to finish it. I was also concerned that you might be already done with those yellow headlights and white windows!

Looks sharp and proper. Pics look good too!

Hopefully I can join the 1.9cr01 crowd soon, so that only makes two of us!

The yellow you saw was the paint mask. I need to take some better pics, but I used the CR-01 light buckets, and I have LED headlights and tail lights installed now too, along with 2 led rock lights.

sweet CR-01, would you happen to know the width of those axles compared to TLTs?

THe CR-01 axles are about 1" wider than a TLT axle.

Your rig looks good out in the sunshine Busted. "thumbsup" I'm still collecting stuff for my Scout Trailbeater TLT build but I may post up some posed parts pictures soon. I'm to busy right now to start the build but it poses pretty well. :D

Thanks, the Tamyia Bright Red really pops out in the sun! Can't wait to see yours Norm "thumbsup". I may build another Scout scaler using the plastic Trex axles and either a Trailbeater or a MSD Ute chassis.

That scout body is NICE!!!"thumbsup"

Thanks! It's painted to match the old Scout I had, and I followed the same line when I trimmed up the fenders.

damn, busted looks killer"thumbsup"
gotta get my are in gear and finish mine off now.
